A BETTER NEW YEAR: We have four good “new year’s resolutions” from this important passage:1. Get rid of debt.2. Get busy loving those around you.3. Be aware of what God is doing. 4. Get dressed in the attitude of Christ.Putting these resolutions in practice will make a better year.

BEST SERVED COLD:  One of the reasons Jesus arrived was to show us what to do with vengeance.  He taught us to forego it.  He taught that we do well to replace evil with good.  By doing so, our own lives get much better.

HOW TO REMOVE REGRET:  We are made right with God by trusting Jesus, not by following rules.  Advent is the anticipation of the arrival of this one who saves us from the penalty of our sins.

BARBECUED BEEF FROM GOD: God celebrates our return to him always.  It doesn’t matter how sordid we’ve been nor how judgmental and self-righteous we’ve been; he always welcomes us back.  So let’s come back to him today.

HE CHANGES EVERYTHING: Jesus changes everything for the better.  He removes the spiritual tumors of hate and heals our souls.  Invite him to change you and he will.

GRATITUDE ROCKS: Focus on your blessings and you will be blessed.  Be thankful for all that God has given you and done for you and you will attract even more blessings.  Gratitude rocks!

A RADICALLY BETTER LIFE:  Radical alignment with the teachings of Jesus produces a radically better life.

FORGIVENESS GRANTED.  Forgiveness is like a bolt cutter.  It cuts the chain that connects you to the one who hurt you.

A NEW PLAN FOR YOU: The old way of living, based on merit, doesn’t work.  God saw this and sent Jesus.  Now we have a new plan, based on mercy, that works.
