We conclude Acts 7, looking at Stephen’s sermon to the Sanhedrin. We have an opportunity to do today what they didn’t: repent.

God’s plan for His people is unstoppable, but sometimes it doesn’t unfold in the way we expect. How well do we do when God’s plan doesn’t meet our expectations? What can we learn from Israel’s deliverance out of Ancient Egypt that will encourage our hearts towards God today?

God has an unstoppable plan to save the world. In this message, we go back in time 3,800 years to see God’s plan unfolding in the life of Joseph. God had a plan for Joseph, and God has a plan for you.

As a movement, Christianity has been unstoppable the past 2,000 years. But, its beginning goes back further than the Book of Acts. Our faith actually began about 4,000 years ago with a promise God made to a man named Abram. This is that story.

In Acts 6:1-7, the apostles delegate authority in the church so they may continue to focus on ministry of the Word. Christ humbled Himself and came to serve mankind. To be like Christ, we also must serve each other, considering others to be better than ourselves.

As we turn to Acts 5:17-42 and see how the apostles were treated by the religious leaders of the day, we ask why anyone would want to suffer for Jesus. But, as this passage reveals, we discover that Jesus is worth it!

What does church unity look like and how is it threatened? Acts 4:32-5:16 teaches us about unity, and how Satan tries to destroy it. We also learn about God’s holiness and His expectation of our obedience.

What should we do when we’re faced with a challenge or problem in life that threatens our ability to follow Jesus? Acts 4:23-31 shows us what the first Christians did when they experienced this, and we can learn from their example how to pray Kingdom-prayers and have the victory.

How do you know if you’re growing as a disciple, or making any progress following Jesus? Galatians 5:22-23 teaches us that the fruit of the Spirit is a sign of life and growth as a follower of Jesus.

A disciple is someone who is actually following Jesus. Discipleship happens when the Spirit applies the Word to our lives in the context of the church to help us follow in Jesus’ footsteps. In this message, we dig into the context of the church and discover that discipleship happens in three places: a gathered place, a scattered place, and a close place.
