We as followers of Christ must daily put our flesh under subjection, even death- for it wars with our spirit and keeps us away from God.

Peter and the Apostles knew who Jesus was, and what they hoped for a future. But they did not know everything, no man does, and in this Peter and the others had a new lesson to learn, as we all do when it comes to God and the Lord Jesus-

Jesus never sinned, Jesus never rebelled against God, and Jesus lived an absolutely perfect life in all that God asked to be done- But we didn't and Jesus then took God-s Wrath that belonged to us, and Jesus bore it proudly, and without complaint, but did it for you and for me.

Jesus asked his apostles who people thought he was- Their answers were kind, honest, and good answers. They Jesus asked them who they thought he was- Again good kind honest answers, but Peter gave the real answer, do you know what it was-

Quickening is of God, making one alive inside, to see Jesus. So this miracle of Christ shows us much more about this wonderful miracle of God- And it is of God and not men.

We should always look to God in all things, and never grumble, or moan about the way things are, or about those above us, for it is God that put those above us in power, and we are to obey them unless they go against God.

Last week we seen how the Pharisees and many of the religious leaders, did not recognize the miracles of Jesus or those things from God. This week we will see in addition that even the apostles did not see or understand many of the things of Jesus. We too fall into this, for we are not close enough to Christ.
