The first half of the Easter season is called Lent, and that’s when we’ll focus on lament.

The second half of the Easter season is called Eastertide, and that’s when we’ll focus on celebration. 

All of us have learned how to do something through practicing that particular something, so pause for a moment and think of an example of something you’ve learned how to do by practicing at it. What did it feel like the first time you tried it? The first time driving a car is scary, the first time playing a musical instrument is unpleasant, and the first time cooking a new dish is risky. Learning new skills requires a bit of courage, and a sense of humor because it often doesn’t go the way we want it to go. This is all very normal.
