We are ready to begin a very exciting journey, a journey through what is commonly referred to as the book of Lamentations. And in my opinion, this book, although it's rather short, just five chapters, is one of the most spiritual books in the Hebrew Bible, or we could say the Old Testament. And what we see here is a time of trouble that came upon, primarily Judah, that Southern Kingdom, and the capital of that kingdom, Jerusalem.
