Katie Grove is an artist, educator, and author whose passion is to inspire both viewers of her art and students in her classes to build a relationship with the plants growing around them. She teaches basketry from her studio in the Rondout Valley of New York State and enjoys a robust studio practice that merges traditional basketry techniques with sculpture. Katie holds a BFA in Printmaking from SUNY New Paltz and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from the NOMAD program at University of Hartford. Her book, Weaving Wild Baskets will be released in April 2026.

Rouzbeh Rashidi is an Iranian-Irish experimental filmmaker and founder of the Experimental Film Society. This conversation moves through his experience of exile and displacement, his resistance to the capitalist urge for relentless productivity and his understanding of cinema. Teal Gardner (b. 1984, Albuquerque, NM) is an interdisciplinary artist, living and working in Boise, ID.

Her work uses historical and present day development as sites for inquiry into interrelationships among human and more-than-human beings.

Her ongoing project, The Ecogeoglyphic Observatory, is in its fourth year.

Teal has received support from the Boise Arts and History Department, the City of Boise Arts and History Department, The Idaho Commission on the Arts, A Blade of Grass, MING Studios, The Alexa Rose Foundation, The Common Well, The Union for Contemporary Art and the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. She is currently a Frontier Fellow with Epicenter, located in Green River, UT.

She holds a BA from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and a Masters Degree in Fine Art from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque’s Confluence MFA program.

Nahla Tabbaa is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice spans food, botany, ritual and plant-based making. This conversation moves through her relationship to home as something constructed rather than inherited, her familial roots spanning Syria, Jordan, Bangladesh and Pakistan, the kitchen as an alchemical space, and what it means to create beauty as an act of resistance. Nahla and Morgan talk about somatic healing, micro interventions and how critical thinking anchors creative work in the real world.
