Work is the amazing reality that God made humanity to be his partners in ruling, creating, and sustaining the world! If you are in Christ, the redemption of work is as much about why and how you work as it is about what you work.

Wisdom is the skill of living well. If you would be wise, you need to choose the wisdom of the Gospel.

We can only rightly engage with the times and season (and all that happens in them) when we understand that all of it has been appointed by God. How in this season can I find joy in God, and in my labors, honor God?

Trying to possess and find meaning in the things of this world is a losing battle, instead, we must receive all the good things God has made as temporary but blessed gifts. The Preacher is telling you that only those who know God can rightly engage with the world that was made by God!

   1. Give thanks to God for this day of rest.
   2. Make a list of all the different things that contribute to wound-up-ness in your life.
   3. How can you cultivate practices of “pause”?
4. Conclude with a time of prayer for you/your family, our church, and our region. 
5. Pray the Lord’s Prayer and sing the Doxology.
