Do you ever look at co-workers or family members from another generation and think "They Just Don't Get It!" This message will help you understand why different generations think so differently, and how we can come together to create a truly multi-generational church community.

The diagram of the generations can be found at https://levpres.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Sheet.jpg

The message this morning draws heavily upon the work of Haydn Shaw and his book "Sticking Points - how to get 5 generations working together"

We apologize for the sound quality - it does get better as the message goes on :-)

This four part series on the first four chapters of Genesis by Rev. Dr. Langdon Palmer introduces us to the big story of how we got here, why the world is the way it is, and how we can flourish in it. It is designed so that a small group leader can use it with minimal preparation. While it is benificial for individual as well, the video gives teachings then asks you to pause the video while your crew discusses questions that both help them to get to know each other and to dig deep into the scripture. Each video is about 18 minutes long resulting in a group meeting time of 30 minutes to an hour and half depending on how many of the questions you use and how talkative your group is. Do you ever look at the conservative churches and then look at the progressive churches and then feel like a spiritual orphan - like you don't seem to quite fit in anywhere ? Have you thought about walking away from the whole church thing? Is the answer to deconstruct your faith ? In this message Pastor Langdon paints a picture of what Leverington church is striving to be - a gracious, generous space where hard questions can be asked at the same time that deep discipleship to Jesus flourishes. Note: we had some technical difficulties during this live presentation which resulted in this message being an abbreviated version of the original. For more resources, go to Leverington.org
