In this episode, we are talking about the sustainability of our environment and its protection and preservation though education. Getting in touch with us from Dorset in the UK is my guest Francesca Shirley. Chessie, as her family and friends call her, is a dynamic, energetic, funny, kind, positive and lovely young woman. She is a physicist specialized in Optics and Photonics, an environmentalist, compassionate not only for the people, but also for our planet as such. She gave up her PhD studies and decided she is going to enhance access to solar energy and get solar panels to the people who needed them the most. She joined the Solar light company called Namene and among others, she is building a school program called Solutions for Climate Revolution which also became the name of her podcast.

Her name is Zakia “Kia” Baker she is a female veteran, who has become the voice advocating for the veteran females all over the world. She is a mother of two, the creator and host of The Female Veterans Podcast, also the co-host of Hot Topics Live. This inspiring and compassionate woman is also the podcast and success coach at London Real Academy.
Kia is going to share with us how she perceives the current situation with the lockdown, also how she is mentally and inwardly setting herself up on the positive mindset for what is to come after the Covid-19 transition period ends. She will speak about her navy experience and how she, as a “Hippie”, was able to cope with the rules she had to conform to as well as, about the difficulties adjusting to the civilian life or the harsh reality of female veterans in the USA. In the second half of our talk, we are going to get deeper into the positive transition Kia was able to bring about in the lives of others, as well as, in hers.
