For Gaudete Sunday we hear the story of John the Baptist again (John 1: 6-8, 19-28), but this time with a focus on John's role as a messenger. His example is good news for the rest of us who also want to testify to the light.

For week two of Advent we explore what it means for us to prepare the way of the Lord based on the beginning of the gospel of Mark (1: 1-8).

We kick off advent by hearing a warning from Jesus (Mark 13: 24-37) about staying awake and alert as we await the Messiah's return.

For All Saints' Day we take a break from our look at 1 Thessalonians in order to consider the unveiled view of reality in Revelation 7: 9-17.
