As Pastor Ron continues his teaching series through the Gospel of John, he’ll be explaining that Jesus is God in the flesh and the Creator of the Universe. Genesis 1:1 says that, “God created the heavens and the earth.” Then, Colossians 1:16 gives the added detail that God created “all things” through Jesus Christ. The plain teaching of Scripture, therefore, is that Jesus is the Creator of the universe. Christ is the exact representation of God the Father, having the same nature. 

The Passover lamb was to be sacrificed in the Old Testament and the blood was to be put upon the doorpost of every Jewish doorpost. This blood was a sign that deterred the angel of death, and the firstborns of the Jewish people were spared. Today, Pastor Ron will be explaining how Jesus is our Passover Lamb, and that as Christians, when we die, the blood of Jesus covers all our past, present, and future sins! You’ve escaped eternal death, and have been translated into the Kingdom of Light. 

There is no doubt that persecution is a stark reality of living the Christian life. Persecution is to be expected: the Apostle Paul warned that “everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted”. Jesus said that, if they persecuted Him, they would also persecute His followers. Jesus made it clear that those of the world will hate Christians because the world hates Christ. As Pastor Ron continues his teaching series, he’ll be challenging you to be bold as lions for the Lord!

For the Christian, praying is supposed to be like breathing, easier to do than not to do. We pray for a variety of reasons. For one thing, prayer is a form of serving God and obeying Him. We pray because God commands us to pray. Prayer is exemplified for us by Christ and the early church, and if Jesus thought it was worthwhile to pray, we should also. Today, Pastor Ron will be challenging you to no longer rely on your own strength, but to depend wholly on the strength and power of the Holy Spirit within you! 

When you are facing a difficult situation do you expect to come out of it with happiness, or do you expect to lose all your happiness? If you live your life trying to be happy all the time, you will end up never being really happy. In today’s message, Pastor Ron offers you the comfort of knowing you can experience the Joy of God; a joy that, even in the face of difficult or uncertain times, never leaves or diminishes. That way you can go into every situation expecting God to bring His joy to get you through.  

Have you ever done something that made you happy only to fall right back into loneliness or sadness when it was over? Too many people fall into the trap of chasing true happiness through other people or things which eventually leads to continual sinning just to enjoy fleeting moments of happiness, but never true joy. In today’s message, Pastor Ron offers you a chance at true joy that will replace all the sorrow and difficulties of life; a joy that lasts even through the bad times, that can only be found in Jesus.

Have you ever had someone take the blame for something you did even if you tried to come forward and admit you were the guilty party? That is exactly what Jesus did when He went up on the cross, He is taking the punishment meant for you. In today’s message, Pastor Ron reassures you that you can live a life free of judgment and condemnation because of what Jesus did for you. You can freely serve Him because He will comfort you while at the same time, He will convict the world.

When someone does something to hurt you, do you forgive them? Whether or not you do depends on the level of offense they cause. Most people find it easy to forgive the small things, but some may never forgive something more severe. In today’s message, Pastor Ron explains that as long as you believe in Jesus and repent of, or turn away from your sin you will be forgiven. It doesn’t matter how big or small the sin is, it can and will be forgiven, unless you don’t believe in Jesus.

Following Jesus isn’t always going to be easy and you will face some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable. So why do it? Why follow Jesus if it means that you are going to have to suffer? Today, Pastor Ron will remind you that even though following Jesus is tough, it’s also rewarding. Friends might become enemies, but they also might receive eternal life because of the seeds that you planted and the way that you treated them. So don’t be afraid, but be ready to see God do amazing things. 

How do you act around your friends versus being around strangers? You are probably more open, more spontaneous, and can speak about deeper topics. Today, Pastor Ron will encourage you to treat Jesus like He is your best friend. If you never speak to Him or open up your heart to Him, it will be extremely difficult to become close to Him. The same as if you’re trying to be friends with someone, but never hang out with them. The key to an intimate relationship with Jesus is to spend time with Him.
