What’s the difference between joy and happiness? Today, Pastor Ron says that joy isn’t situational but based on a relationship with Jesus Christ. You see when you’re joyful, you don’t care what happens around you because you have your heart set on the things above. When your joy is found in Christ, you’ll find that no matter the circumstances, you’re confident in who you are. Joy found in Jesus is far greater than joy found in anything else because it won’t shake no matter the circumstances around you.

What should we do when we have someone who may be toxic to our church environment? Today, Pastor Ron says we must go to them. What’s the best way to show someone who doesn’t understand the gospel fully the gospel is by loving on them as Christ loved you. The Bible calls us to love one another with brotherly affection and to outdo one another in showing honor. When you honor another person they feel more welcomed than if you don’t. Honor those in your church and show them Christ’s love!

When it comes to church leadership, there can be things that cause us to distrust them and want to tear them down. In today’s message, Pastor Ron says that we must esteem church leaders because they’re put in a leadership position over us. This doesn’t mean that everything they say goes, but it means that we should look at them as higher than ourselves. God has placed elders in the church so you can be shepherded well. Therefore, if you’re an elder of a church, you shouldn’t take your role lightly. 

When a soldier goes into battle they have amour to protect them from the attack of the enemy. As a Christian you go to battle with the enemy on a daily basis and just like a soldier, you have armour protecting you. In today’s message, Pastor Ron explains how your faith in God acts as a breastplate protecting your heart from the lies of the world. Furthermore, as a helmet, you have the hope of salvation protecting your mind from the attacks of the enemy. You can be assured of the hope of heaven! 

For many people, they try to find peace and comfort in material possessions, but no matter how much stuff they buy or how much money they have they still can’t find peace. Maybe you’ve been one of those people trying to buy comfort. In today’s message, Pastor Ron reminds you that true peace and comfort can only be found in following Jesus. Material things may offer some joy or comfort for a short period of time, but real lasting peace and comfort come from Jesus. What’s found in the world doesn’t last long. 

Have you ever had someone take the blame for you? Maybe you and someone else did something at work and when your boss found out, your friend took all the blame. That can be a hard thing to accept because now you owe them for taking all the blame. Well as Pastor Ron points out in today’s message, once you accept Jesus as Lord, He takes all the blame for your sin so you will not have to suffer in death. The best part is He asks nothing in return just that you follow Him and love others. 

Have you ever talked to a non-believer about what happens when you die? Odds are they don’t have a good answer or not a positive one at least. For many people death is the absolute end therefore they must find a way to live longer. In today’s message, Pastor Ron explains that there is no solid basis for hope outside of Christianity. Some try to figure out what life after death looks like and others try to extend life as long as possible. The fact is without Jesus life and death are hopeless. 

 If you’ve ever been out of work for any kind of time you know how difficult it can be to find another job. Sometimes you might overlook certain things because you either don’t feel qualified, or it doesn’t pay enough. Well in today’s message, Pastor Ron advises you to take what’s available, even if it isn’t the most desirable. God will always provide what you need even if it’s not what you want. You should take the first thing you can get because it may be a lesson to teach you to rely on and trust in God.

Have you ever had a job that you really struggled to go to? You may have had to take the job out of necessity, but given the choice you would do something else. Just making it through the day may have seemed almost unbearable. In today’s message, Pastor Ron reminds you that, as a follower of Christ you should have a different outlook. You should look at the opportunity, no matter what it is, to do it for the Lord. Remember whatever you do as a believer is a testimony to what it means to be a Christian.
