Hey, fellow lushes! Our guest on this episode is Stephanie Shepard, Director of Advocacy for Last Prisoner Project. Stephanie was convicted of conspiracy to distribute marijuana in 2010. As a first-time, non-violent offender, Stephanie was sentenced to ten years in the Federal Bureau Of Prisons. After serving nine years, she was placed on federal probation for an additional five years. She now serves as Last Prisoner Project's Director of Advocacy and sits on the organization's Board of Directors. She is adamantly advocating for restorative justice for those who have suffered and continue to suffer as she has from the criminalization of cannabis.
