From there it was a break, a reset, and eventually a return to comedy with sharper stories and way more control of the mic.

We dive into the Texas comedy boom, his upcoming song If I Was Gay, I’d F** Ryan Gosling*, and the bizarre overlap of his past lives — from drumming in church bands to touring the country as a Christian music artist, to serving in the Marines while his mom terrified recruiters and boot camp drill instructors. Along the way we get moose-knuckle high school playbill photos, Star Wars fandom, awkward VHS porn confessions, and the entrepreneurial grind of selling door-to-door freezer meat with his dad.

It’s comedy chaos, Texas grit, Marine discipline (sort of), and the kind of storytelling only someone who’s bombed big and come back harder can deliver.
