Elder Jonathan Joshua Tilghman Sr. is the son of Althea Tilghman and the late

James Tilghman, accepted the call to the Gospel to preach, teach and serve. He

is saved, baptized, and filled with the Holy Ghost! Elder Tilghman is a

compassionate and visionary preacher who cares deeply for everyone.

A native of Denton, Maryland, Elder Tilghman is a graduate of Delaware State

University, where he earned a bachelors degree in mass communication/public

relations. Now, an accomplished author (Fully Loving You), he is also a member

of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Currently, employed by the Department of

Defense, he is the telecommunications team lead where he helps support the

Nation’s warfighters globally.

Elder Tilghman has a unique way of bringing life application to the Word, using

illustrations, and demonstrations as the Holy Ghost directs him. Having been

asked to preach at various churches across the country, and speak at

conferences and other platform events, he has a special interest in empowering

all ages.

Elder Tilghman having a serving heart, and understanding the power of serving

others, serves as Chief Adjutant to +Bishop Dane A. Coleman, Senior Pastor of

Greater New Hope Church and Ministries in Preston, Maryland; and has been

serving him for over 20+ years. He strongly believes in 1 Peter 4:10, “Each of

you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful

stewards of God's grace in its various forms.”

Elder Tilghman believes deeply in family. He is married to the love of his life,

Talisha Tilghman, whom he loves deeply. With this union, he is the proud father

of Jonathan Joshua Tilghman Jr. and Brodus James Tilghman.

Elder Tilghman enjoys movies, playing chess, and spending time with his family.

However, with these accomplishments, and other accomplishments not stated,

he strongly believes in being humble. Elder Tilghman is on a mission to save lost

souls, and set the captives free through the power of Jesus Christ!
