So happy to end this season with the one and only Macoy Dubs. I've always admired people who have a good sense of humor. It takes wit to crack a joke and evidence suggests that having a good sense of humor is linked to high emotional intelligence.
We kicked off this episode with chitchat about our childhood memories and went deeper as we talked about how we are using our platforms to serve a higher purpose. Just like the Late Nights by Luna Manila podcast, Macoy also uses his influence and reach to promote his advocacies in a light and entertaining manner.
It's a fun and serious episode at the same time so make sure to listen.
About our guest:
Our guest, Mark Seven Averilla a.k.a Macoy Dubs is a Filipino content creator, academic lecturer, influencer, TV personality, brand endorser, host, and comedian known for vlogs and TikTok videos. He was a former Overseas Filipino Worker in Doha, Qatar, and started his content creation journey when he went back to the Philippines and began producing dubbed videos like Mean Girls but reached his stardom when he spot on represented the titas of Manila with the persona of Aunt Julie who was a social media sensation in 2020. Macoy uses his influence and reach to promote his advocacies about LGBT issues, sexual health, and women's rights in a light and entertaining manner.

When it comes to providing community and public service, there is no such thing as too young or too old. In this episode, I was joined by Ronin Leviste and we talked about how he's using his role, time, and energy to help people.
At an early age, Ronin knows that his heart is always with community development and public service...not a typical interest of youth nowadays, right?
He's been busy fulfilling a big role in the office of Vice-Governor of Batangas in particular to coordinate lots of youth affairs. Together with his team, he's currently working on providing scholarships for Batangueno students and doing programs for the provincial government. On top of this, he's finishing his degree in Development Studies at De La Salle University-Manila.
It takes a lot of discipline and passion to do all of this simultaneously but his purpose is what keeps him going.
If you're young and still looking for your purpose or you're an adult and keeps finding excuses to do something purposeful, listen to this episode. There's a lot to learn from our conversation.
This episode is also available on YouTube. Link here.

Ortigas Jr. Most Outstanding Undergraduate Student Leader. Ronin is the son of Batangas Vice Gov. Mark Leviste.

A lot of people struggle when it comes to finding out where they're good at. We all have a passion for something—whether it's about creating arts, making food, music, or dancing. However, passion does not always equate to skill or talent and sometimes not enough to turn it into a career.
In this episode, our guest, Kris Galicia Brown shared how she builds her career path through her creativity. She talked about how a simple idea of baking turned her into becoming an author and attracting thousands of followers waiting for her recipe (including me). She is, indeed, an influencer in the food and community realm.
If you want to know how to find where you are good at and monetize your creative outlet, listen to this episode!
About our guest:
Our guest, Kris Galicia Brown has an atypical approach to entrepreneurship. Passionate about food and people; and intrigued by influence, Kris’ businesses are reflective of this. They include KGB Ventures Consulting- focused on community relations, public affairs, and local branding. Her personal brand KrisGaliciaBrown.com where she serves as a content creator, educator, and influencer in the food and community realm. And lastly a newly launched ecommerce site krisdrygoods.com. Originally from Manila, Kris was raised in San Diego, CA, and still resides there today with her husband and two daughters.

I believe most of us are willing to donate blood. But what's stopping us from doing it is the lack of proper information and awareness. Oftentimes, we hear the phrases 'I've been planning to donate someday', 'I've been wanting to donate blood', 'I want to donate blood'. When asked why they have not donated (yet), many people say it is because they don't know where to start or they are afraid. Some would also say they were never asked to donate or they don't know if they are eligible. If that is the problem, join us in this episode. A lot of useful information that will help you understand the how, what, when, and who of blood donation.
Some of the points that we've covered:
✔Who is eligible to donate
✔The importance of blood donation
✔Types of blood donation
✔Main blood groups
✔Benefits of donating blood
