Happy 2021! Before we really start the new year, we wanted to take one more look at all the music we got in 2020. In this episode, Camila will be reading the results from our poll that we had our listeners vote on! Welcome to the 2020 LaNi Awards!

A big part of us is glad that 2020 is finally coming to an end. It was a rough year but thankfully we had some music to get us through the tough times. Before we say goodbye to 2020, we list our top picks for concept, music video, album and song of the year. 

Women are the most hardworking human beings on this planet. Unfortunately, they are also the most underappreciated. In K-Pop, girl groups have to work twice as hard as boy groups due to the standards started by the industry. We discuss those different standards that girl groups need to adhere to in order to succeed. As we unravel them, we also realize that standards are placed everywhere, no matter the industry. 

We seem to love being put under pressure because we are doing it once again for this week's episode. We decided to take a few quizzes that help rank our favorite group's members or title tracks. Listen to us struggle when trying to pick "this" or "that." It felt like taking the SATs all over again. 

The time has come. Our album review for BTS' latest album 'BE.' First we start off just moments before we watched the 'Life Goes On' MV and then we share all the emotions we felt after watching it. The episode then continues with us diving deep into our opinions on all the songs off the album. 

We spend almost every hour of everyday together. Even when we're not recording, we are still fangirling over K-Pop together but how much do we actually pay attention to each other? Today we will be playing a K-Pop version of the Newlywed Game to see how well we know each other when it comes to K-Pop. 

Last week we got into the history of tattoo culture in South Korea. We mentioned that times are now definitely changing and in this episode we talk about those few idols who are members of that change. We also made a list of our favorite tattoos and how K-pop has inspired many fans to get tattoos of their own. 

The list could go on and on about all the differences between Western and Eastern cultures. For this episode though we focus on one major difference, tattoo culture. Although times are now changing, we talk about why tattoos have been looked down upon in South Korea. We also briefly discuss how K-pop idols fall into the world of tattoos as well. 

Comeback season has finally caught up to us and this is only the beginning. A comeback doesn't just bring a new album but it brings a whole new era, concept, outfits, hairstyles, promotions, videos and that's only to name a few. This week we talk about two of our ult groups, NCT and SEVENTEEN's, latest comeback. 

Nothing has stopped the k-pop industry from releasing new content during these hard times. Even when concerts were being cancelled, k-pop idols have been able to find innovative ways to perform for their fans, BTS being one of those artists. On this episode, we talk about the emotional roller coaster we were on while watching their online concert, Map Of The Soul ON:E.
