This week, we're talking about supermarkets, cleaning products, and must-have holiday items!
●
Aldi: We're discussing Aldi's "Pigs in Blankets Restaurant," which features eight different types of pigs in blankets, including a cheese-wrapped-in-bacon variety, a truffle chipolata option, and a footlong vegan pig in blanket. We're also looking at Aldi's new line of hot honey-flavored products, including pork belly bites, feta and hot honey bites, flatbreads, crisps, and a spiced cranberry hot honey sauce. Finally, we'll touch upon Aldi's viral 5-in-1 hair styler, which is being compared to the much pricier Dyson Airwrap.
●
M&S: We're discussing M&S's decision to wrap their pigs in blankets in a full rasher of bacon, rather than just half a rasher, as in previous years. We'll also take a look at their Christmas food offerings, including new sandwiches, the return of the gingerbread milkshake, and new cafe items such as the turkey and ham hock toastie and the s'mores milkshake.
●
Sainsbury's: We're examining the "ridiculous" new security measures Sainsbury's has implemented for yellow sticker items and coupons, which require customers to have a staff member manually approve the discount at self-service tills. This is in response to an increase in fraudulent coupon use, including people sharing screenshots of genuine Sainsbury's discounts.
●
Tesco: We're looking at Tesco's 30-day receipt warning for online shoppers who need VAT receipts. The policy requires customers to visit the customer service desk at a Tesco Extra or Superstore within 30 days of their purchase to obtain a VAT receipt. We'll also discuss Tesco's refund policy, which can take 3-5 working days for funds to appear back in a customer's account.
