We had an inspiring conversation with an incoming freshman at Pitzer College in California. Diana Vicezar plans to double major in Computer Science and Economics. Elected one of 33 young adults more influential in the world by Global Teen Leader 2019, she advocates for international students and has the goal of sharing opportunities with other minority groups. We talked more about the process of applying to college in the US and also how we can look for more opportunities for international students.

Conversation with Carlos Gonzalez de Villaumbrosia, the Founder and CEO of Product School. We invited Carlos to our podcast because he has an interesting journey building global companies and digital products and this is a subject we’d like to bring to our podcast.

Technically he’s not a Latino, but a Hispanic since Carlos is from Spain, and we think we share a lot of similarities with each other. We talked about his journey, entrepreneurship and of course Product Management. Carlos has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Industrial Management, and Computer Science. We talked with Nathalie Marchino, as our first guest of 2021, a former professional rugby player born in Colombia who lived in Switzerland and has turned into a great tech business leader. Conversation with Rosa Parra, a Chicana born and raised in East LA. Rosa became interested in films at a young age and just recently decided to become a film critic. She’s currently working towards her Bachelors's in Film and Media studies. Rosa's primary job aids in the medical field as she's a certified electron microscopist, that means a specialized lab technician and works in a hospital in Los Angeles.

In this episode, we will talk about why we use the word Latinx, the difference between the term Hispanic and Latinx, the Latinxs representation in the film and television industry, and where Latinxs can make an impact.

Thelma Neves has experience managing design teams from the agency-side and also the client-side, and she’s a Product Designer Manager at BT. Thelma has a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and a master's in Communication Design. She initiated her career as a Graphic Designer and transitioned to User Experience over the years. A first-generation Guatemalan and Salvadoran immigrant, Jacobo Pereira-Pacheco is now preparing to leave the Bay Area as he enters the world of academia again and begins his PhD studies in Statistics and Scientific Computing at UC Santa Cruz.
