In the middle of the city. Recorded in a small square in December. Cars edge nervously through narrow streets, while people try to find a moment of calm in the urban rush.

A winter park in a warm climate. Squirrels actively jump between the trees, gathering food. A baby in a stroller is being sung a lullaby. Toward the end, the sound of a basketball bouncing can be heard from a nearby court.

This time I experimentally added a couple of my own ambient compositions. The world around you. No narration, just sound.

Rain. Recorded on a balcony. A light drizzle with gusts of wind — freshness and a gray haze, a contrast between stillness and quiet activity.

A sunny day. Recorded on a windy viewpoint peak. The steep climb up the stairs rewards visitors with a beautiful view of the surrounding canyon and distant hills. An eco-officer keeps watch at his post, motorcycles and trucks growl as they climb the winding road, and grasshoppers bask in the sunlight.

A warm, sunny day. This recording was made on a handmade spot deep in the forest — a chair tied to a tree, with a stone slab beneath it. Around me, people wander along nearby trails, and toward the end you’ll hear the sudden roar of a mountain bike passing by. Birds are singing, someone is moving quietly through the bushes, and I walk slowly across the soft spruce-covered ground.

Recorded on a hilltop in the park: at the entrance a taxi driver was searching for hidden stashes in the bushes, grasshoppers leapt through dry grass, and ants were busy building their nest. Down the slope across the highway, a lonely portable toilet stood in the field. On a nearby mountain, an ancient watchtower overlooked the valley while a funicular car slowly climbed the ridge.
