In this episode, Gary tells us a Sardo-less story about two brothers, Sam and Mike. Mike is a good boy who does as he's told and obeys the rules. Sam is a rampaging psychopath who is going to learn the hard way that living a life of crime this early in his life will have consequences and those consequences happen to entail being stalked by a clown doll with evil intentions. It's basically Talking Tina, The Living Doll episode of The Twilight Zone. Or that Treehouse of Horror episode of The Simpsons with the talking Krusty doll.

This week it's Dave's turn to tell the 9:30 Society about the elventh episode of the third season of Are You Afraid of the Dark: The Tale of the Quicksilver. This episode finds Ashley Banks from The Fresh Prince of Bel Aire using black magic to try and trap a demon but the spell goes awry and she dies in a fire. Years later a pair of brothers move into the same house where this horribe tragedy happened and they'll sort out the mystery of the fire, capture the demon, and put the ghost to rest once and for all.

This week it's Aileen's turn to tell the 9:30 Society all about the tenth episode of the third season of Are You Afraid of the Dark: The Tale of the Dream Girl. In this episode a brother and sister who could you unfortunately mistake for boyfriend and girlfriend struggle to unravel the mystery of Johnny's weird dreams about a girl who seems so familiar to him and the cursed class ring that he can't seem to take off. Why does he seem so invisible to everyone but his sister and what's the big secret that she's been keeping from him all this time and why does she insist on revealing that secret through an elaborate origami newspaper article?

This week it's Mikie's back and it's his turn to tell the 9:30 Society about the ninth episode of the third season of Are You Afraid of the Dark, The Tale of the Curious Camera. This one is a blatant ripoff of a second season episode of The Twilight Zone replacing a pair of thieves with an alcoholic photographer and the kid he curses with a magical camera that destroys whatever it photographs. No problem, don't take any pictures with it, right? Wrong. It takes pictures on its own and pretty soon our main character is doing everything he can not to get his sister or his parents killed. The school bully, though, that kid deserved worse than he got. The episode stars Eddit Kaye Thomas from American Pie and features the kid who steals Zeebo's nose and eats a whole bowl of pudding in the season one episode that this very podcast is named after.

Once again we find Tucker ripping off existing media to spin a story about an ancient curse, a mummy, and the worst father in the entire province of Ontario. His kids are looking forward to going skiing on school break but the good times turn to bad times when their dad, an archaeologist, is summoned to the museum to investigate mummy they found hidden behind a false wall. There's greed, an ironic comeuppance, and a love that survives the ages. Boris Karloff would like a word with Are You Afraid of the Dark's writers.

We're struck with yet another story about how hard it is to be the new kid in town as well as how nasty and mean Canadian teenagers can be but on the bright side, it's a Frank story and you know what that means. Everyone's favorite homosexual small business owner makes an appearance and tries to shake a thirteen year old down for way more money than a child is likely to have.

In this episode a chaotic magical babysitter rolls up on a kid who just hates to read but she uses her strange powers to show him how much fun it can be to crack a book every once in a while. Of course, the process involves putting him in mortal danger like some library-bound Cat In The Hat but on the upside, the babysitter has Bryan feeling a certain way.

This week it's Aileen's turn to tell the 9:30 Society all about the fifth episode of the third season of Are You Afraid of the Dark: The Tale of the Dollmaker. This episode hits us with some AYAOTD classic tropes. You get a kid abandoned by their parents for a time, a complete lack of anything that you could call a dollmaker, and people being real weird about trauma. In this episode we find Melissa spending some time at her aunt and uncle's place. She's eager to hang out with their neighbor, a girl her own age but is shocked to learn that this friend of her vanished mysteriously and no trace of her was ever found. What's worse, her parents were so broken up about it that they packed up and moved away and no one will talk about the lingering horror of this disappearance. They just keep pushing it down. But because it's Are You Afraid of the Dark, Melissa keeps breaking into the empty neighbor house and discovers some really weird stuff going down in that attic.

Following in an ongoing series of perverts and delinquents, The Tale of the Phone Police is the story of Jake, a prank phone call enthusiast. When he fails to control his freaky impulses to call and harass random women in Canada the mythical Phone Police turn out to be real and throw him in the phone slammer. It's up to Jake's put-upon best friend Chris to plan a prison break and rescue Jake.

This week it's Dave's turn to tell the 9:30 Society abouty the third episode of the third season of Are You Afraid of the Dark: The Tale of the Watcher's Woods. We've already been introduced two one new member of the Midnight Society but tonight Betty Anne reveals her new candidate, Sam, or as we like to call her Cheyenne from Reba. Sam tells a pretty familiar story to the Midnight Society: two girls, one nice, one not-so-nice. The girls, abandoned by their parents at summer camp will have to get over their differences if they intend to survive the curse of the woods when the not-so-nice girl falls into a trap set by three ghosts stuck in an endless forest presided over by a terrible spirit. This episode stars Jewel Staite from Firefly!
