This episode carefully explains the deep "Spiritual Gap" that God has placed between the Living and the Dead. The "Spiritual Gulf", that He has so strategically placed between the living & The dead in Luke 16:19-31. This is to ensure that no one from could ever cross into heaven, and neither was anyone from heaven going to take that route down to hell. It clearly explains the Story of "The Rich Man and the Poor Man" in Contrast, and how both their lives on earth impacted their final destination.
I just love the distinction between both men, and especially how the Bible describes Father Abraham and his timely response to the Rich Man's plight to return to earth from his place of torment. The story perfectly depicts the errors and heart of the Rich Man and the obvious reason he ended up in hell in the first place. It also highlights the fact that the conversation was only between two of the three men because one was totally unbothered, and he had all rights to be.
What marvels me, are the distinctions between the afterlife and our current life on earth. The scripture opens up a whole can of worms on what happens with our memory even after we die.
