It can be difficult at times to understand and/or explain why Jesus had to suffer and die for us. In a time where friendships are in danger of being nothing more than shallow “acquaintances”, it is of great importance to understand how deeply God loves you and to what length He demonstrated His desire for you to be with Him eternally.
What agricultural analogy did Jesus use to help his followers understand why He had to die?
-Ref. Jn. 12:24 ________________________________________________________________
• Vs. 26, “If anyone serves Me, he ______________ _________________ ________”
• Vs. 32, “And I, when I am ______________ _____ from the earth, will ________ ____
_______________ to __________________”
• What does Jesus mean when He says to ”walk in the light” (vs. 35) _______________________________________________________________________________________________
Chapter 15 of 1st Corinthians is an important chapter to read to better understand the power of the resurrection of Jesus.
• Vs. 22, “For as in Adam _____ ______, so also in Christ shall all be ________ _________.”
According to Rom. 6:3, when we are baptized into Jesus, we are baptized into _____ _________.
“For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall _______________ be united with ______ in a ___________________ like His.” Ref. Rom. 6:5
The Word of God MUST be obeyed. After all, It is what will JUDGE us on last day!

When we’ve been away for a while, we have a strong desire to get home and relax and enjoy the familiar comforts of “home” What is it that we are longing for that we enjoy once we are home? Hopefully we have a similar desire for our final destination, HEAVEN.
• List some things that you miss about home when you travel:
• _________________________, ________________________, ________________________
Many of the things we love about home are not bad. We grow to desire familiar things. A good question to ask though is, do we have those same feelings for godly things?
