Father – thank you that you are holy.  Thank you that you sent Jesus to become a man and die on a cross on our behalf.  We will never fully understand his leaving heaven, or his life here on earth, or his returning to heaven, and even his second coming.  But, we get a better look at you when we look at Jesus.  Keep our gaze there.  Amen

Father – Thank you for meeting with us in person – in history – in your story meeting our story.  Thank you for sending Jesus and having him put skin on and get in our every day mess – and sit with us in our grief.  Sit with us and catch our tears.  And rejoice with us.  He still is – interceding for his own to his Father.  He indeed came to save his people from their sins. And we thank you – Amen

Father – Thank you for doing things out of the ordinary. May the truth that you broke into our world in such an unusual way give us hope that you will work out side of the box in our lives as well.  May we look to you to do the unexpected in our every day mundane.  Amen

Father – Thank you for having a grand plan.  Often times we wouldn’t see our plans like you see them.  You are perfect.  Give us eyes to see the way you see.  Give us a mind and heart to understand what you are doing.  May we like mary come to a place of joyful surrender to your plan – even when its not quite what we would have done.  Your perfect plan centered on Jesus – thank you.  Amen.
