Dr. Jon Jacobs examines Judges 14 and Judges 15 which show God's absolute sovereignty over human sin, using Samson's desire for a Philistine wife as the primary example. Dr. Jon argues that while Samson acted on his own desires, God sovereignly used this disobedience to create an occasion for judging the Philistines and initiating Samson's role as a judge. It also shows we must be on guard against the danger of doing what is right in one's own eyes versus God's law, and how God can redirect sinful paths toward His redemptive purposes. This calls believers to recognize that despite their ongoing struggle with sin, God remains in control and works all things for good. Ultimately, this points to the cross as the ultimate demonstration of God using the worst evil for the greatest good, urging reliance on Christ for transformation.

Daniel's first statement reveals the nature of the images of the beasts. They are four Gentile kings that shall rule the earth in succession to each other. Following their individual reign the Messiah's kingdom will control the government order of the earth forever. From that point he sees the explanation of the last of the beasts or the kingdom which will immediately precede the establishment of the Lord's Messianic Kingdom. This kingdom is diverse from the other three in several characteristics. Those characteristics are: 1. Exceeding dreadful 2. Teeth of iron 3. Nails of brass 4. It devoured and broke in pieces and stamped them all in residue 5. Had 10 horns on its head 6. The eleventh came up and three fell 7. The little horn was stout and spoke great words against God 8. It wore out the saints and charged times and laws 9. It will last for three and a half years (time Times and the dividing of time) 10. Judgement will be given and its kingdom shall be taken away and destroyed 11. The Lords kingdom shall be established next and all dominions shall serve God 12. Finally. Daniel was exhausted from these visions THE LAST GENTILE WORLDLY KINGDOM Daniel is given further information regarding the activity of "the little horn". Daniel is told he causes three of the ten horns to fall (v.20b); he speaks great things (v.20c); he wars against the saints and is allowed to prevail over them (v.21). But finally, the coming of "the ancient of days" personally defeats him.

The sermon explores the Jerusalem Council's decision to relieve Gentile believers from the burden of Mosaic law while urging them to maintain moral purity and sensitivity toward Jewish Christians. It emphasizes that church governance should prioritize encouragement and unity over imposing non-biblical regulations or allowing divisive disputes to fracture the body of Christ. The preacher illustrates how superficial judgments and rigid legalism can alienate newcomers, contrasting this with the freedom found in grace and the necessity of bearing with one another in love. Although acknowledging historical conflicts like the disagreement between Paul and Barnabas, the message asserts that God can redeem such tensions for His greater glory. The western church in general has swallowed and acted upon a view of mankind that far more closely aligns with its atheistic surrounding culture than it does the Bible, the view that mankind is little more than the result of the chemical reactions that occur in the brain and body. Scripture flatly contradicts this view of mankind. And because of this, what our culture (and much of the visible church) calls "an unprecedented mental health crisis" almost entirely boils down to the unmitigated practice of submitting ourselves as slaves to sin, and especially the sin of covetousness, rather than as slaves to Christ. People know that mere platitudes are not the solution, but ignoring what we learn about ourselves through God's revealed Word will destine us to a continually worsening crisis. This crisis will never be solved at a purely chemical level, because the ultimate problem is not chemical--it's spiritual.
