The Watched begin the evacuation of Kaeldaan. When night falls, they stake out the entrance to the Temple of Astolat, but Gottfried has other plans and The Watched are caught desperately unprepared.

Warren and Finn check in at the library, before they are rudely interrupted by the peal of fire bells across town. What could possibly have happened?
Then, The Watched embroil themselves in the politics of two old librarians and the mysterious old woman Fayne and Theo saved from Gottfried.

The Watched first visit the Council of Twenty-Two to ask them to ration their white sand and evacuate the city. After the frustrating meeting, they find a craftsman who can work with dragon bone before they finally split off. While running their own errands, Fayne and Theo venture into the borough of Astolat, which starts quiet, and ends bloody.

The Watched meet with Jezel Il Raash, who is a peculiar young girl that experiences time differently. They ask her to help their map remember a time 1000 years in the past.
Then they link up with Hausta in Kaeldaan to plan their next move.

The Watched confront the Deepwood Sage, only to find that Fayne's long-lost mother and sister are in his care. The Sage reveals his plans, and it sheds light on all the destruction the party has seen on the road to Kaeldaan

The Watched split up to take down the Deepwood sage. In this episode, Fayne leads Kilian, Kyler, Vicki, and Regal Beak up the southern foothills of Mt Sigurd to ambush the Sage's camp. But there's more lurking in these trees than the Sage's fanatic followers.

Warren cuts a deal with a merchant before the Watched head down the road to Kaeldaan to visit the Shrine to Ahm. At the shrine, they are given a vision about Kaeldaan's fate and meet an unlikely ally against the Deepwood Sage.

The Watched fight for their lives to escape an ambush over a fast-running stream! But what has caused the forest to grow so suddenly? Could it be the Red Smoke that Shiven used to nearly destroy Icemeet?

The Watched have a few days of respite to build equipment and attempt to cook some dragon meat (it goes okay).
They then proceed to Helm's Brink which is facing an overcrowding problem. Could the trapped travelers trying to find shelter in the last town before Kaeldaan be the work of the Deepwood Sage?
