Lawyers for Jesus

Brian Trujillo and Andrew Willis are current law students in Chicago who we are going to be speaking with today to discuss what it’s like being Christians in law school and the specific trials that come with.

Andrew Willis was the communications manager at Mauck & Baker before moving on to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer. He is currently interning at the Illinois Attorney General’s office in the civil appeals division and recently began his third year at Chicago-Kent College of Law where he serves as the President of their CLS student chapter.

Brian Trujillo recently finished his internship at Mauck & Baker as a Blackstone Fellow and soon after began his second year at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law where he currently serves as Co-President of their Christian Legal Society student chapter.

Pastor Pamela Blossom is the Senior Pastor of World Outreach Conference Center in Chicago, Illinois, a church with the goal of being a home and place of encouragement for all people.

Pastor Blossom’s mission is to take the gospel to the world for total deliverance in every aspect of life. She has been called to the inner city to minister to marginalized communities and those who are on dangerous paths to help them recognize how valuable they are in God.

Pastor Blossom is also the author of The It Factor: All You Need to Succeed is Within You, a book about relying on God and finding your worth in Him.

Laurie Higgins is the Cultural Affairs Writer and warrior for the Illinois Family Institute, a nonprofit ministry that reaffirms Biblical principles and how they connect to the current cultural landscape.

Laurie’s commentaries have covered many current issues relating to our society’s infringement on religious liberty and conservative values, but today we want to focus on the need to overturn the irresponsible bans against reparative therapy, a cause that that Laurie passionately supports.

Jeanette Ward has been a member on the Board of Education in the U-46 school district in Illinois since 2015. Since her election, she has been involved in a number of controversies in defending religious liberty and conservative values in the realm of education.

District U-46 is the largest elected school board in Illinois spanning eleven communities and three counties. Jeanette Ward’s presence on this board has been integral in fighting to uphold truth and moral accountability in these schools.

Denise Schick is the Executive Director of Living Stones Ministries and Help 4 Families, two organizations dedicated to helping individuals and families with issues of homosexuality and transgenderism.

The belief that sexuality can be changed is currently under attack across the United States, where governments are trying to prevent individuals with unwanted same-sex attractions from seeking legitimate help.

Denise is a passionate advocate for reparative therapy and has seen it succeed. Her ministries help people by providing prayer, support groups, and other resources.
