In this LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast, we explore the big news that Syracuse will be playing at UAlbany for the first time in 18 meetings in 2020. The PLL had a big weekend and their playoff spots are now locked. Penn State lost a lot of man power on the defensive side of the ball so we will discuss a handful of guys that need to have big years in order for PSU to make it back to championship weekend.

The dive rule was a disaster in college lacrosse this season even though it also provided a lot of excitement. The NCAA Lacrosse Rules Committee will be reviewing the dive rule, how it's written, and how it's called this off-season and it will be interesting to see if they make any changes.

The NCAA lacrosse face-off rules will be discussed as part of the annual NCAA Lacrosse Rules Committee meeting. The goal will be to see if there are ways they can decrease the effect that fogo's have on a games outcome. I personally think the current rules are incredible and have already gotten rid of the "cheating" as much as possible at the face-off X.

UVA returns the best attack group in the country in Michael Kraus, Matt Moore and Ian Laviano. Dox Aitken, one of the best midfielders in the country will look to anchor the midfield, this time without the help of Ryan Conrad, but guys like Jeff Conner will certainly be ready to step up and fill some of the scoring gaps. Petey freakin Lasalla is of course back after having a great rookie season at the face-off X and will need to improve upon his already impressive 8 goals as a fogo to help ease the pain of losing #22 who was very effective off draws in creating transition.

Syracuse Lacrosse returns a ton of talent in 2020 in addition to the addition of transfer Chase Scanlon. Guys like Jamie Trimboli, Brendan Curry, Tucker Dordevic, David Lipka, Jacob Buttermore, Stephen Rehfuss, Griffin Cook and more give Syracuse lacrosse fans a lot to look forward to in 2020.

The Inside Lacrosse Invitational completed play last week and got the full broadcast treatment from ESPN. It was a huge win for club lacrosse and showcase lacrosse tournaments as the broadcast quality was excellent and the lax players on hand got to show off in front of a big crowd as well as the ESPN audience.

It's official, Chase Scanlon, the incredible freshman midfielder from Loyola will transfer to Syracuse and will rock the #22. Scanlon is likely going to play attack for the Orange. He'll be the most proven #22 Syracuse has had since Mike Powell as his 43 goals and 15 assists at Loyola last season solidified his spot as one of the top three freshman lacrosse players in the country. Scanlon was also an All-American which would make him the first 4-time All-American since Mike Powell to wear the #22 assuming his AA status continues to roll.
