We welcome this new year with our first digital compilation, Southern Boundaries. This is a five-track EP composed by a fine music selection from Argentinian and Colombian artists, some of them new to Lay Down The Groove.

Opening the release, Nicholls, a talented artist from Bogota, debuts on the label with “Toroidal”, a deep and powerful track full of ambience and sweet pads. Next, we have “Rabbit in the Moon” by Dj Braver and “Front Steps” by Gabriel Ferreira, our old friends from Buenos Aires who have printed their own personality in each track, influenced by acid and house.

Following we introduce Eugenio, a well-known name in the local scene from Bogota, who has an ample range of style thanks to his productions with different alter egos through his career. This time, Eugenio delivers “Per Aspera Ad Astra”, a beautiful track with dub and acid nuances.

Closing this compilation, we are proud to showcase Junn for the first time in Lay Down The Groove with “Matcha”, a powerful track with analogue touches inclined on breakbeats. This young artist from Bogota, founder of Gabber House Music, shows clearly his own identity with this amazing piece.

This time we are honored to collaborate with Click Box, who debuts on the label with a powerful opening track, amazing percussion and dubby chords. Then Max (Italy), who also debuts on the label, delivers "Brain" with a very analog sound and a woozy bassline. On the B side, Juan Rodriguez and Mateo Torres appear once again introducing "Know How", with a sweet melody and inquisitive pads through the track. Finally, "Deli" by the well-known Javier Ferreira (Ninefont) closes the release with an hypnotic groove and big ambience, ideal for late nights.

Braver is back on Lay Down The Groove opening our 2018 Podcast Series. This time the man behind Maleza delivers a sixty minutes special mix, "classy housie tracks" all of his authorship, turning into funkie beats well known by Nicolas Braver.

Fresh and organic work delivered by Lay Down The Groove. Two original tracks with different House and Techno touches, plus a minimal house remix by Javier Ferreira.

Lay Down The Groove is proud to present its second vinyl VA release, "LDGV02 Night Spot". With the collaboration from Medu (Rewire Musik), Gabriel Ferreira (Items & Things), our label heads (this time appearing as Lay Down The Groove) and an unknown artist who has also worked with Tupiar Records.

This organic and clean selection of tracks has already been supported by Dudley Strangeways, Caceress, Martin Bellomo, Javier Ferreira, Miro Pajic, Dryclap, David San and many more.

Experimenting with the sounds of Dub and Minimal, Fly District is a project that explores the deeper sounds of electronic music. Powerful basslines and groovy drum sequences have a conversation with dubby ambients on their productions.

Hoy llega a LDG Mauro Calderón, DJ / productor nacido en Cali y radicado en Bogotá. Es la cabeza de Ipsum Records, quienes lanzan música exclusivamente en formato vinilo. Actualmente es residente de Baum Club y contaron con su participación en el reciente BAUM Festival 2017.
