In Nehemiah 9 & 10, the people of God remember His faithfulness through every season. Though they were disobedient and rebellious, God continued to lead them, provide for them, and keep His promises. This message reminds us that confession leads to restoration, praise shifts our focus back to God, and His promises remain true through it all.

This week's sermon continues the series - LifeChurch Cultural Values: Who We Really Are titled, We Eat Together and Do Life Together with Pastor Vondell. We were never meant to do life alone. From the early church in Acts to the many meals Jesus shared throughout His ministry, we see that something special happens when people gather, slow down, and truly share life with one another. These were not just ordinary moments they were moments where lives were changed. 

God’s presence changes everything but the question is how will you respond? What do you do when the presence of God shows up? Today, we dive into what happens when we stop spectating and start responding to what God is doing. 

It begins by saying YES. It's saying Yes to the assignment Jesus gave us. We are God's fisher of men. We are ones who throw out the line. We are ones who just talk about Jesus. We are ones who declare that Jesus is King. We are ones that declare that Jesus is alive. It is a part of our Identity found in Jesus Christ. 

Through the words of Jesus in Gospel of John and the life of the Spirit throughout Scripture, we see that when we step into what God is doing, He brings life, healing, growth, and transformation. This message is a simple invitation: don’t stay on the edge, get in the river and stay in it, because Jesus has more for you.

Pastor Vondell begins a new series by teaching that walking with Jesus is God’s original design and the foundation of the Christian life. He shows how Jesus invites us to walk beside Him, share life’s burdens, and experience God’s presence in every season, even in moments of failure or discouragement. The message calls believers to stop walking alone and enjoy the abundant life found in a daily walk with Jesus. 

As we conclude our church-wide season of prayer and fasting, this final episode reflects on the purpose and power of fasting and how it helps us hear God’s voice more clearly as we step into the unknown. Drawing from Scripture and the example of the early church in Acts 13, we’re reminded that fasting sharpens our spiritual focus, aligns our hearts with God’s will, and positions us to walk boldly into all He has for us in the year ahead. 

This Sunday morning sermon by Pastor Vondell wraps up the series, Learning To Trust God With Our Treasures (Week 3): When Your Treasure Goes Far Beyond Money. This message looks beyond financial giving to the heart of faith and obedience. Through Abraham’s journey in Genesis 22, we see that God desires more than our money—He wants our trust, our obedience, and our greatest treasure. As Abraham walks in faith, God reveals Himself as the One who provides and blesses obedience. This sermon challenges us to consider where our true treasure lies and what it means to fully trust God.
