This week we look at James 2:14-26 and seek to answer the question, “What role does works have in the Christian life?”. Join us as we walk through this often misunderstood section of James.

Today we continue our discussion on our current sermon series, Faith Works. This week we begin in James 2 focusing on favoritism in the church. Why is favoritism damaging to the church? Do we view people as the mission or a means to an end? How can we live lives filled with mercy towards one another?

People are the mission, not a means to an end. As followers of Christ, we should see others the way God sees them and treat others the way we would want to be treated.

This week we dive deeper into James and are challenged not to be just hearers of the word but doers. This podcast also features our guest and friend Jess Meaders, missionary to Uruaguay who will share his perspectives on the message as well as his, his wife Amy’s, and family’s calling to go into the all the world with the Good News of Jesus!

We can't just be hearers of the word; we have to put it into action.
