Each year, on December 31, millions of us, filled with optimism and hope, determined to make changes in our lives by making New Year’s resolutions. Yet research indicates that anywhere from 55%-88% of those who make New Year’s resolutions give up pursuing them within six months. The fact is, change doesn’t come easily. Old habits and old lifestyles are hard to break. And the longer we have been practicing a bad habit or cultivating a physically or spiritually unhealthy way of thinking, behaving, acting or reacting, the more entrenched it becomes.
