LCM Sermons

“Officer Mentality” is a sermon you are going to want to listen to again and again. The Lord is unlocking biblical principles that have built LCM, intending that each of us would have them deeply embedded into our souls. Pastors Wade, Nik, Payton, and Matt spurred us on as a brotherhood regarding how life giving, unifying, and kingdom dependent the relationships that we have with our fellow brothers are. We will no longer look at our brothers through a worldly or fleshy perspective but rather we will have an Officer Mentality by seeing them how they really are, through heavens perspective! It is this kind of mentality that begets more of who we are. It is the Officer Mentality!

What it would have been like for Abraham to look up at the stars and try to count them. How awesome, how exciting, and all together impossible it must have seemed. We're beginning to see our portion of that same mission in much of the same way, with awe and wonder. Pastor Payton Parsons along with Brothers Justin Treaster and Justin Linton help us develop our affinity for one of the vehicles that will propel us to the promises of God. Suffering. Suffering is promised, even granted to us as a gift from our father that helps us to shake off what does not belong. An expectation of suffering replaces anxiety & causes us to put all of our hope in God. Listen to this message, look into the promises of God, and get to work!

“Pinpoint Precision” preached by Pastors Wade, Payton, Nik, and Matt is the right word for the right time in our body. We have identified public enemy #1 as fear and the many forms it takes. And one of the subversive, more “acceptable” forms of fear shows up in being anxious. Often times we present our anxiousness as noble when in reality it is really a nice way of saying we are fearful. This sermon highlighted, addressed, and spurred us on to the solution with Pinpoint Precision. This Pinpoint Precision is needed because it is giving us clarity on the individual mezzuzahs of the families of LCM and how we operate as a singular unit to fulfill the corporate mezzuzah of LCM. A corporate mezzuzah that points all of us forward towards the nations. This is how we will achieve Pinpoint Precision!

Get your Mezzuzah back on mission! Our heavenly father has been beckoning to us, organizing and arranging us by rank and file so that we accomplish our collective mission. It is because this is his intended will for us that we must rightly deal with our fears. Pastor Judah and brother Asad Robinson lay out this beautiful, powerful, and transparent call to arms entitled “Be Afraid”.

The way that we rightly deal with fear is not by pretending that we should not be afraid, but by learning to fear only God, hence the title. He, being God, designed us such that the Mezzuzah he deposited inside us, coupled with a proper fear of the Lord that causes us to make right sacrifices, would produce an unstoppable change agent on the earth that forcefully advances the kingdom. Learn to properly fear the Lord, stand up, and get your Mezzuzah back on mission!

“Public Enemy #1” preached by Pastor Matt and Pastor Wade exposes the biggest enemy and threat to the lives of believers; Fear. This internal enemy seeks to rob us of the present reality of our growth and the work we are called to in the Kingdom by showing up in a variety of ways, but it must be identified as the single root of fear. Our great King is increasing our awareness of this Public Enemy and we have been given the tools, teachings, and practical application through adhering to the word on how to go to war against this internal enemy of fear. We are rising up, taking full hold of the responsibility entrusted to us, and we will see mighty men and women of God made into the image of our great commander!

We are beginning to hear the war drums more clearly in our body. The Lord is calling us up as officers in his army with our sight set on the nations. The task is noble, so it is fitting that the ignoble be removed from our own hearts so that the work remains pure and untainted. Brothers Justin Treaster, Paul Rosales, and Carlos Rueda encouraged us with this sermon entitled "Uprising" by helping us to examine our intentions. From purifying our intentions about why we want to become overseers, to why someone might not jump forward for enlistment, there was no soul left uncircumcised. Our motivation should be loving God will all that we are & loving our neighbor just the same. In the tension between the truth of what God has promised about us and to us, & the truth that we are not there yet, hope is what causes us to rise. There is an uprising taking place in the body of Christ & the catalyst is your hope in the Lord!

The war drums are sounding a call, a rhythm, a “Cadence” that we are responding to here at LCM! Our good Father is calling us higher to our heavenly positions in Christ. The Lord has given us marching orders founded on his word that will birth leaders and officers in our midst! Our gait is fixed, our convictions are set, we are marching out boldly and going to war against our enemies. First dealing with the internal ones that war again our soul and then focusing on the eternal enemies. This is how the Levitical tribe was born and it is what shows our qualifications as component officers.

We are moving to a War-Time Economy mindset. This is what our heavenly father has been doing in our body. He is causing us to firmly grasp and value the resources we've been given and put them to work, in the precise way we have been shown by our commanders. Brothers Paul Rosales and Marlin Sosa encouraged used to press in to the re-prioritization, the re-tooling, and re-structuring of our lives so that everything that we do and have goes towards this war effort of building God's kingdom on earth. As the sermon title "Essential Work" intimates, we become essential workers when give all of ourselves towards doing the essential work that our father has ordained for us to do.

“Stewardship” preached by Pastor Nik and Pastor Payton, help further the kingdom principle and practical application of the necessity of being trustworthy stewards. We must continually renew our original commitment to being good stewards because the Lord is going to examine the quality of the work product of our lives. Here at LCM, the Lord is raising up officers who are capable and willing to strip away the things that do not belong in our lives so that the aim of our lives is for the benefit of others and furthering the kingdom of God.

In this sermon entitled “Audacious Faith” brothers Abimbola Daramola and Carlos Rueda spur us on to continue in the unstoppable attitude that was imparted to us on Sunday. As officers enlisted in the Lords army, we must prove faithful with what has been entrusted to us. This is how we prove faithful, by valuing what we have already been give & by multiplying it. Our pursuit and attitude are not that of a defensive measure but we must be on the offensive for Jesus Christ. Like Jehu, we have an attitude of boldness and we will accomplish what he has said because of what we have received from him.
