Aujourd'hui, on s'intéresse à Manjaro, un système d'exploitation assez mal aimé. Pour de bonnes ou de mauvaises raisons ?
In the primate section of Wuppertal Zoo you’ll find, among others, the Monkey House (Affenhaus). The building for the monkeys reflects the Zoo's past. Originally it stems from 1927 and it was refurbished in 1985. But another upgrade was done in 2006, together with the establishment of a nice outdoor enclosure for the drill (Mandrillus leucophaeus). The enrichment is mostly artificial (ropes, tree trunks), which does not look nice but could cover the need of the animals for sure. Inside the Monkey House all exhibits have the same interior design with tiled walls, coated concrete floors and enrichment features. All have rather low ceilings except for the Dusky leaf monkey (Presbytis obscurus).

At Tallinn Zoo the Transcaspian urial (Ovis orientalis arkal or Ovis vignei arkal) enjoy their space in a large paddock. The urial are adjusted to gentle mountain slopes and plateaus in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and northeast Iran, where they move around gracefully, unless they are as cripple as these two specimens in Tallinn.

In 2013 Central Park Zoo had a snow leopard (Panthera uncia) birth in 2013. The two cubs were the first snow leopard cubs ever born at the Central Park Zoo and the second snow leopard birth at a WCS zoo (Bronx Zoo) that year. The cubs at Central Park, a male and a female, born this summer, weighted about 1.3 kg but are expected to reach between 30-55 kg. The litter is the result of the successful pairing of, Zoe, the mother (7), with Askai (6), a male sent to the Central Park Zoo from the Bronx Zoo. Both adults are first-time parents. Snow leopards first arrived at the WCS Central Park Zoo in 2009.
