  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath - Overcoming Imposter Syndrome

    In this episode, Chabidaye discusses:

    • Do you have imposter syndrome?
    • The five subgroups of people affected by imposter syndrome
    • The eight ways to counter that negative voice
    • Reaching out and asking for support

    Key Takeaways:

    • Imposter syndrome is when you feel that you’re inadequate and incompetent despite evidence that proves otherwise. Maybe you haven’t thought of yourself as a fraud or imposter but perhaps you brushed off your success as luck or being in the right place at the right time.
    • There are five subgroups of people that are affected by imposter syndrome: the perfectionist, the superwoman/superman, the natural genius, the soloist and the expert.
    • Celebrate your achievements. Be kind to yourself. Be mindful of the ways you treat yourself. Learn to take mistakes in stride. Take action. Don’t count on external validation. Review what you’ve recently accomplished.Talk about what you’re feeling.
    • When we start hearing these negative things, there is no shame in reaching out and asking for support. The last thing we wanna do is to listen to that voice and go down a cycle of depression. It’s okay to put your hands up and say we need help.

"Start getting celebration as a habit that you incorporate daily, weekly, monthly, and in the year so that you can build confidence and work on your momentum to move yourself through." —  Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath

  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath - How to create the best day

    In this episode, Chabidaye discusses:

    • Snoozing your alarm
    • Three things to NOT do
    • Tips on what you can add to your day
    • Letting yourself feel good

    Key Takeaways:

    • Snoozing your alarm and waking up anxious or overwhelmed with what you must do on the day is not a good recipe for a successful day.
    • First, don’t log into work right after rolling back out of bed. Second, don’t start your day with your phone. And lastly, don’t rush to start your morning chores. The first thing you do in the morning matters for the rest of the day, and it will affect you in the long term.
    • Make the time, wake up an hour earlier. Read motivational books that will fill your mind with good, do journaling and exercise. Take 50 minutes to focus on tasks and take 10 minutes to rest
    • Take a moment to just feel good that you were able to make progress. Also, make sure to schedule time daily to recharge and relax.

"In corporate we only celebrated when the project ended and it’s sad because some of those projects went on for more than two years. Pausing to celebrate each day at the progress that we’ve made in our projects builds momentum and you get the confidence to keep moving forward." —  Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath

  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath - How to W.R.A.P up the year

    In this episode, Chabidaye discusses:

    • Taking inventory of your wins
    • Reflecting and remembering
    • Casting a vision, living your dream
    • Setting a destination

    Key Takeaways:

    • Start the year by focusing on the wins - both big and small - that you’ve had last year. Ponder each month and search for each win, each goal that you’ve achieved, each lesson you’ve learned or skill you’ve adapted or improved.
    • End the year with deep contemplation and reflection of all things that have happened. Reflect on how much joy you feel about what you’re doing right now, does it fill you with fulfillment? Remember the major events that impacted you throughout.
    • Think about all the things you want to accomplish, using your wins and reflections of what you want to improve on as a basis. Cast a vision and live your dream. Don’t spend the next year drifting aimlessly  or living someone else’s dreams.
    • When you plan, make it a “draft” plan. Recognize that the plan may change as you grow and transform throughout the year. Plan each quarter of the year and add details as you get there. There isn’t ever only one road towards your goal, what’s important is that you know where you want to be.

"You may think that you didn’t achieve the big goal so you shouldn’t celebrate but every progress that you make towards that big goal is a cause for celebration." —  Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath

She is the host of the Getting to Clarity Podcast for busy women leaders who want to create MORE Success with Less Sacrifice in their life, and also the creator of The Clarity Community, launching soon!

She is a professional member of the National Speakers Association, Women’s Speakers Association and an author

Debbie has long been an advocate for professional women leaders and aspiring leaders. In 2015 she stepped onto the board of ATHENA International, a global organization committed to supporting, developing, and honoring women leaders.

In this episode, Chabidaye and Debbie discuss:

    • Getting hit with the need for clarity
    • The journey of clarity
    • Asking the right questions
    • Freedom from limiting beliefs

    Key Takeaways:

    • The need for clarity is often magnified when you hit a wall. Don’t chase an abstract cloud, focus on getting clarity in your identity, purpose and desire.
    • Getting clarity isn’t a one and done deal, it’s not a destination. Getting to clarity is a journey that one takes on purpose. Setting yourself on the path towards clarity starts with curiosity - how can you be curious with where you want to be and what is one thing that would bring you joy?
    • Setting yourself towards clarity involves asking yourself the right questions - but even knowing what questions to ask can be just as hard as answering them. Coaching can help speed up and smoothen this process.
    • Limiting beliefs are the lies that you tell yourself. At one point, they might have helped you, but they’re hindering your growth now and it’s important to release yourself from that.

"Clarity allows you to say yes to the right opportunities… When you have clarity and you have that sense of knowing, it allows you to step out of your comfort zone. You have that trust in yourself and in what you’re doing that allows you to move forward." —  Debbie Peterson

About Deb Ingino:  She is the CEO of Strength Leader Development. A highly sought-after executive mentor, consultant and speaker worldwide, Deb is well versed in business operations and in the importance of asking key questions most business leaders won’t ask themselves. She brings deep experience in leadership development, strategy, high performance team building, global operations, brand management, design, product development and training to her work. Her passion is for leading people to discover and maximize their strengths as well as those of fellow team members, while offering advanced strategies to achieve high performance.

Deb was recognized in 2008 and 2010 by the Long Island Business News as one of the “50 Most Influential Women in Business.”  Building on this success, Deb became a founding partner with her mentor, the renowned leadership expert John C. Maxwell. She is an Executive Director with the John Maxwell Team and serves on the President’s Advisory Council.

In this episode, Chabidaye and Deb discuss:

    • Motivating a D-wired and I-wired people
    • What motivates S-wired and C-wired people
    • How realizing your strength and weakness should affect you
    • Benefits from a better understanding of self

    Key Takeaways:

    • To motivate a D-wired person, give them a challenge or get them involved in healthy competition with others or with themselves. An I-wired person is motivated by popularity, recognition, and fun experiences.
    • S-wired people are motivated by security, stability, and a friendly, non-confrontational environment - get them unstuck by creating a routine and keeping the goal right in front of you. C-wired people live for data and facts.  They are motivated when they see excellence happen - create a plan to get unstuck, seek progress not perfection.
    • Working on your weaknesses will only bring you up to average. Focus on your strengths and position yourself to fill a role that others cannot and let others step in where you’re not wired for.
    • When we’re able to understand ourselves better, communicate better, and understand ourselves better - it just makes us a better person to be around.

"Some of the areas where I didn’t have strength, where I felt inferior - I realized that it’s not that I’m a bad person or that I’m not smart - it’s just that how I’m wired is different from other people. Once we realize that we can push out the negative and we can say ‘how do I maximize who I really am?’." —  Deb Ingino

In this episode, Chabidaye and Deb discuss:

    • The Maxwell DISC system and finding your strengths
    • DISC is more than what you’re good at, it’s how you approach the world
    • DISC has been around for years and has a lot of scientific backing

    Key Takeaways:

    • Finding your DISC strengths can give you new insight into yourself and your motivations
    • Knowing your employees and co-worker’s DISC assessment can help you communicate better with them
    • We all have each of the DISC traits, but what is strongest in us is what’s important to know

"If you've ever been with a loved one, a family member, and you've tried to get them to do something that they really just don't want to do. We keep thinking, ‘you know what's wrong with them. This is so simple, they should just do this.’ But for many of them, the reason they don't is because their motivation is not being tapped into at all.  —  Deb Ingino

    • What is Irresistible Content system and why we need it
    • The Mindset shift - showing your expertise
    • Attract, delight, and convert right-fit clients
    • Creating V.I.P. experiences

    Key Takeaways:

    • Instead of going after what you need as a company, think first about what the person you’re selling to is all about.
    • Irresistible content is a mindset of not convincing people to buy, since that causes buyer’s remorse, but it’s about showing them ways that they can change and people want to hear your experience, unique process and strategy all the while building trust that you are the one to guide them.
    • Display your expertise to the right-fit clients instead of convincing them that they need something.
    • Decide on what your vision is for your business and get people to think differently. It’s not a game of who creates the most content.
    • VIP experiences are content that tap into client’s senses and emotions - Visualize, Interact, Personalize.

"There is no "I" in content. But there is in inspire, influence, impact, and income. This means to center your content on your clients and customers and not just on your company.
