Before you even get out of bed in the morning, something has usually already tried to tell you who you are. Maybe it's your phone lighting up before your eyes adjust to the room. Maybe it's a memory or comparison you can't quite shake. Maybe it's just the mirror. Most of us never stop to ask which of those voices actually gets to decide who we are, and that question sits underneath a lot of the exhaustion, comparison, and quiet confusion so many of us carry, especially as gender and sexuality get tied more and more tightly to personal identity.
In this message, part of our Questions and Answers series on finding truth in God's Word, we open Titus chapter 3 and ask what Scripture actually says about where identity comes from. Paul tells a young pastor named Titus that God saved us "not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy" (Titus 3:5), and that through Jesus we "become heirs according to the hope of eternal life" (Titus 3:7). Your identity is given to you, not taken, inherited, not declared.
We also look honestly at what the research shows about culture's current approach to gender and sexual identity. Statistics Canada's most recent data found that 27 percent of 2SLGBTQ+ youth met the criteria for a major depressive episode in the past year, compared to 11 percent of their peers, and 25 percent reported thoughts of suicide, compared to 5 percent, numbers too serious for any of us to look away from. Then we walk through a simple picture called the Identity Circle that shows two completely different paths, one built on status and self-determination, and one built on what God has already given.
If you're wrestling with who gets to define you, or you love someone who is, I hope this gives you something solid to stand on, truth and grace held together. Watch the full message above, and if it's helpful, consider subscribing so you don't miss what's ahead in this series. I'd love to hear your reflections or questions in the comments below. Before you were born, someone had the authority to decide whether you'd be here at all. If you've ever wondered why so many Christians can't get on board with the pro-choice movement, this message is for you. You don't have to agree with me. Just give me half an hour, and I promise you'll walk away understanding the other side, maybe for the first time.
The big question we're wrestling with is simple to ask and hard to answer. What is the value of a human life? Western culture frames it as a matter of choice. My suggestion is that before we ever get to choice, there's a deeper question we have to settle first. Who has the authority? We start in Psalm 139, where David writes that God formed his inward parts and knit him together in his mother's womb, and a few verses later adds, "How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!" (Psalm 139:17). Then I walk through the science, the chemo attractants that draw one specific match, the zinc spark at the moment of fertilization, and the 3 billion letters of DNA written into a single cell at conception. For the Christian, science doesn't argue with Scripture. It echoes it. And when we hear that 1.1 million number, we don't picture fetuses. We picture faces. People who were supposed to be here.
This isn't a message meant to shame anyone or cast judgment. If you've already made hard decisions, or you're facing one now, I want you to hear grace, not condemnation. There's forgiveness in God's love for what's behind you and strength for what lies ahead. Watch the full message, sit with it, and tell me in the comments where you land. If it moves something in you, drop a reflection below, subscribe so you don't miss where this series goes next, and find more at LeadBiblically.com.

Every pastor and leader I know runs into the same wall. You get handed responsibility with no roadmap. A board meeting with no framework for the hard conversation you actually need to have. A season of feeling called somewhere new with no process to work through what that even means. I hit that wall more times than I can count over 20 years of ministry, in small churches and growing ones, on staff teams and boards, in my own walk with God when I wasn't sure what came next.
Instead of just pushing through it again and again, I started gathering and building the tools I needed. Introducing the first set of Lead Biblically Tools! These are resources that were built from real ministry experience. Some of these are workflows I have used and refined for years. There's a personal mission guide grounded in Scripture, a seven-part Church Leadership Toolkit, a Year of Faithfulness spiritual disciplines pathway, budget builders, and a sneak peek of the complementarian spectrum. Coming soon!
In this video, I walk you through each resource, tool by tool, so you can see exactly what's inside before you decide what fits in your context. Then head to LeadBiblically.com to check out the tools store for yourself. Grab one, grab a couple, and tell me in the comments how it worked for your team or what needs adjusting.

Have you ever scrolled through your phone and realized that everyone seems to have their own version of the truth? We're told that's fine, that we can all just live our own truth and get along. But if you've ever tried that at a family dinner or in a hard conversation with a friend, you know it doesn't hold up once real life and real disagreement show up.
This message kicks off a series called Questions and Answers, Finding Truth in God's Word. Hard questions, honest answers, gospel-centred truth. Over the next several weeks, we'll open scripture together and ask what God actually says about things like abortion, money, and medical assistance in dying, not to win arguments, but to live it out in real life. But before we get anywhere near those topics, we have to establish where truth even comes from, so today, we start at the foundation.
John 1:14 tells us Jesus, the Word, became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth, both at the same time. Before we can talk about grace, we need a truth that's actually anchored to something solid. So I walk through the evidence for why the Bible itself holds up as that authoritative source, starting with the sheer volume of ancient manuscripts we have (over 25,000, compared to a few hundred for most other ancient texts we treat as reliable history). Then I get into how close those manuscripts are to the actual events, and how closely they match each other across thousands of years of copying, including the Dead Sea Scrolls discovery that lines up with our modern Old Testament in more than 95 percent of the text.
From there, we look at why truth without grace becomes a weapon, and why grace without truth becomes wishful thinking that can't hold up under pressure. Paul tells the Ephesians to grow up by speaking the truth in love, and that's the tension this whole message lives in. In a culture full of confusion and division, we're called to hold truth and grace together, to speak boldly, love deeply, and live faithfully. Near the end, I walk through a simple prayer for anyone still wrestling with doubts, so stick around for that even if you consider yourself a skeptic.
Watch the full message above, and if you're new here, hit subscribe so you don't miss the rest of this series. I'd love to hear in the comments where you tend to go to find truth when life gets confusing: a podcast, a friend, scripture, or somewhere else entirely. You can find more teaching and resources anytime at LeadBiblically.com.

For years, I’ve approached online teaching differently from live preaching. I’d study, write a full manuscript, load it into a teleprompter, and deliver it. But lately I’ve been wrestling with something: In a world shaped by AI, polished content can start to feel distant, scripted and artificial.
I don’t want that for my content.
So, in this video, I open up about a major shift happening on the Lead Biblically channel and why I believe authenticity matters more than polish in this season. I talk about the tension between writing and speaking, why live preaching feels different than recording in a studio, and how technology is changing the way people experience communication and trust.
Although I’ve been manuscripting sermons for nearly twenty years, and writing is still a major part of who I am, I feel compelled to make this shift. Over the coming weeks, my new content strategy may have more imperfection, but hopefully it generates more connection. Less reading and more conversational style. Potentially more pauses to think before speaking. And more moments that feel like Sunday morning instead of studio production.
This is a discussion about speaking in front of cameras or teleprompters, but more importantly, it's centred on communication that feels as human as possible. Watch the full video and let me know what resonates with you most. Do you connect more with polished teaching or personal conversation?

Culture has been telling women one of two stories for a long time. The first says her value is found in a man, that her identity belongs behind him. The second says she doesn't need anyone (especially a man); that independence is strength and dependence is weakness. Most women I know have been shaped by one or the other. And both stories are wrong.
In this final week of our Knotted series, we open Genesis 2 and discover that the creation of woman wasn't about filling a gap in Adam. It was about something much larger. The Hebrew word translated "helper" in Genesis 2:18 is ezer, and it appears 21 times in the Old Testament. Sixteen of those times it refers to God himself. This is not a word for weakness or assistance. It's a word for indispensable, life-carrying strength. And when we understand what God was doing in the creation of Eve, everything changes about how we read this passage and how we understand the value and purpose of women in God's design.
Watch this full message to explore what ezer really means, why God said "it is not good" before the fall, what the Hebrew word kenegdo tells us about the face-to-face position God designed for marriage, and how the gospel restores what sin distorted. Whether you're single, dating, or married, this message is for you. Subscribe to Lead Biblically for weekly teachings designed to help you navigate life and leadership through a biblical lens. This message has been sitting with me since I preached it. The idea that the word God uses to describe the woman is the same word he uses to describe himself throughout the Old Testament, that's not a small thing. It changes everything about how we read Genesis 2.
What stood out most to you from this message? Are you navigating one of those two false narratives right now? Drop it in the comments. I'd love to hear where this lands for you.

You preached it. You studied it. You prayed over it. And then when the series ended, it got archived.
That's the quiet tragedy most pastors never talk about. The messages that moved people on a Sunday morning are sitting on a hard drive collecting digital dust. The congregation was impacted. Some still think about what they heard. But the sermons never went anywhere beyond that room.
They should have. And they still can.
That's why I built Pulpit to Pages. I take your existing sermon series and turn it into a polished book manuscript, ready for self-publishing or submission to a traditional publisher. Your voice stays intact. Your theology stays yours. The work you already did finally gets the reach it deserves.
I'm Jeremy Norton. I'm a lead pastor and a published author with six books. I know what it feels like to have more to say than time to say it. I also know how to take what you've already preached and shape it into something people can hold in their hands, study from, and pass on to a friend.
Pastors pour years into their sermon series. Most of those series never make it past Sunday. Pulpit to Pages exists to change that.
If you've got a sermon series sitting in a folder somewhere, it might already be a book. You just need someone to finish the job.

Most men enter relationships looking for something. A sense of purpose. A place to belong. Someone to make the unsettled feeling go away. But what if that's exactly the wrong way to start?
In this message from our KNOTTED series, we go back to Genesis 2 and look at what God does with the man before the woman ever arrives. He gives him a place to rest, work that matters, and a charge to keep what he's been given. The Hebrew words for work and keep, abad and shamar, are priestly terms. They tell us that before man was ever a husband, he was a cultivator and a caretaker, called by God to reflect the image of a God who builds, tends, and protects. Paul echoes this in 1 Corinthians 11:3: "The head of every man is Christ." A man's primary relationship was never meant to be with his wife. It was always meant to be with his King.

Most people enter relationships hoping another person will finally make them feel whole.
We look for someone to remove the loneliness, calm the restlessness, and carry the weight of our deepest needs. But what happens when they can’t? What happens when the relationship starts bending under pressure?
In this message, we go back to the very beginning of Scripture to uncover a deeper foundation for marriage and relationships. Before the first wedding ever happened, there was already a perfect relationship within God Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Marriage was never designed to replace God. It was designed to be woven into Him.
Ecclesiastes says that “a threefold cord is not quickly broken,” and that image changes everything when we understand who the third strand truly is.
In this teaching, we explore Genesis 1:26 to 27, John 17, and the deeper biblical meaning behind connection, identity, belonging, marriage, singleness, and covenant relationships. We also look honestly at the cultural collapse of marriage, the danger of expecting another person to complete us, and why every healthy relationship must first be anchored in Christ.
If you’re single, dating, engaged, married, or walking through relational pain, this message will help you reframe what relationships were actually created for.

Have you ever asked yourself, "How am I ever going to get through this?" You're deep in a hard chapter, wondering if it's ever going to turn. Some of you are living that right now.
The Book of Ruth starts exactly there. Loss. Uncertainty. Grief. But what makes this story remarkable isn't how Naomi or Ruth found their way out. It's what God was quietly doing the whole time they couldn't see it.
In this final message of our "Finding God in the Ordinary" series, we land on one of the most stunning endings in all of Scripture. A widow and a foreign outsider. A forgotten genealogy. And a thread that runs straight to Jesus. Your ordinary life, your faithful choices in hard seasons, can be part of God's redemptive story. That's not a motivational tagline. It's what the Bible actually shows us.
We also close with a time of online communion and connecting questions for personal reflection or group discussion.
If you've never placed your faith in Jesus, this message includes a moment to do exactly that. And if you have, it's a reminder that your redemption is real and your story is not random.
Watch the full message, drop your reflections in the comments below, and if this series has meant something to you, share it with someone who needs it. For more teaching and resources, visit LeadBiblically.com.
