As Jesus prays for his followers, he acknowledges that they will experience oppositions and complications. Yet, his plan is not one of isolation and separation—it’s one of mission. He sends his followers out to continue the mission that he has begun. For us, to be drawn into this new relationship is to be drawn into mission.
