  • Evolution of Songwriting with Matt Redman

Matt Redman is a GRAMMY®-Award winning worship leader and songwriter who has been a leading contributor to the global Church’s songbook over the last 20 years. He joins us to speak on the evolution of songwriting in the worship space (the growth of co-writing and how it’s being taken more seriously) and how the theme of the cross has been a common thread thoughout his career, but that he’s excited to have the theme of the resurrection (and the joy and freedom it brings) be more a part of songs today.

He also talks about the recording process and unique setting for his latest live album, Lamb of God, his role in passing on to the new generation but also being refined by them, and more. “We don’t just worship the God of today (the God who is) - we worship the God of yesterday, today and forever.” 🙌 We were honored to have this conversation with Matt! Be sure to check out our latest sessions with him on our YouTube channel.

  • When Faith Meets Therapy with Anthony Evans

Grammy-nominated Gospel artist, author, and speaker Anthony Evans is known for songs that merge a message of faith with a contemporary sound. The son of Dr. Tony Evans, founder and pastor of Dallas, Texas' Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, as well as a high-profile radio and television host, Anthony Evans started his career in 2001 as a background singer for Kirk Franklin. Launching his solo career in 2004, Evans has released several albums since then and really broadened his reach when he competed on NBC’s The Voice in early 2012 (Season 2).

In August, Anthony released his latest book When Faith Meets Therapy which he co-authored with his personal therapist, Stacy Kaiser. Anthony and Stacy take the conversation around mental health and faith to a next level, sharing insights from Anthony’s personal experience with therapy as well as poignant takeaways from Stacy. In this conversation, Anthony and our host Chris Baker discuss how being a preacher’s kid created external pressure but never internal pressure, how Anthony led the trend of taking CCM songs and putting them into the cross-cultural context, but the majority of the conversation centers on When Faith Meets Therapy coping with grief, shame, and doing the work off stage so it pours into your identity and posture on stage.

“You have to feel it to heal it.” Listen today!

Jackie Brewster is a certified Enneagram coach and Experiential Specialist. Jackie gives us an overview of the origins and the impact of the Enneagram, how your number is rooted in childhood messaging, and how that number can help awaken you to your behavioral patterns to drive you toward acceptance, knowing, and love. • Healing from Grief & Trauma with Christine D'Clario

Christine D’Clario is an award-winning Latin CCM artist and worship leader. In her formative years, she suffered significant abuse and loss which eventually led her to the church. After straying from her faith in college, D'Clario suffered an extreme bout of depression and contemplated suicide. Citing a divine interaction, she eventually pulled herself out of the darkness and began exploring her faith through music.

We were so blessed by Christine's vulnerability in this conversation on how grief and trauma intersects with faith, and how prioritizing mental health is crucial for the Church. "The Father put a mirror in front of me and said: 'you have a great big heart, and I created it that way, because I need you to have big heart to connect people to me.'"
