WARNING: F-words galore!!
In this episode we get to know ex crossfit regionals athlete and retired armoured vehicle gunner, Finn Johnson.Â
He shares with us his darkest moments to date, including his time at war in Afghanistan and the unexpected passing of family members.
He also shares with us how he managed to cope with the horrific situations he endured, situations that would leave most of us traumatised for life.
Finns actionable tip:
-Reach out to someone close to you, be it a best friend or family member.
-If that still seems too much, start with a txt first and progress at your own pace from there.
It seems obvious but most of us when we struggle are afraid of being a burden so we isolate ourselves in the belief we're only going to cause others strife. Like Finn says, most people will find it interesting because they'll like the idea of helping someone in need, so do it, pick up that phone and send that txt.Â

I'm back at it after 5+ years.
I've been through the fire. Forged by it 🔥
From finding out I wasn't actually my girl's dad 💔 to heart problems, strokes, losing my…
I thought success meant achieving more, earning more and providing more.
Nearly losing everything changed that.
Now, I believe the most important person I'll ever learn to lead is myself.
To understand and fully accept myself. Look after my health. Be present with the people I love. And make the most of the time I have with them... because it's time I'll never get back.
Lead Yourself First is about the conversations that help us do that.
I'll sit down with people who've been through their own fire, understand what shaped them, what changed them, and who they've become because of it.
No pretending. No having it all figured out. Just honest conversations about what it means to Lead Yourself First.
