    Chris has been Purolator’s Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer since 2017.  He spearheads all aspects of the company’s operations, serving the Canadian domestic and international courier, freight, and logistics market.

    Chris drives innovation, excellence, and growth for e-commerce, retail, healthcare, and industrial customers in North America. He oversees Purolator’s modernization and operations transformation through world-class automation, service capabilities, and strategic partnerships. Chris champions health & safety, diversity, talent development, and sustainability of the company operations with 14,000 employees.

    Having lived and worked for many years in Asia and Europe in several senior executive roles, Chris has significant experience in leading international, cross-cultural teams and in building large-scale, purpose-driven organizations.

    Chris holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. He is a Dutch citizen, Canadian, and Singaporean permanent resident, and lives in Mississauga with his wife and their two sons.

  • Ep. 28 - Dave Nordel - Falter and Fail...

    Dave is a retired United States Air Force Command Chief Master Sergeant with over 30 years of service. He is a registered nurse and emergency manager and served as a medic in areas of operations including Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South America, Iraq, Korea, Japan, and Hungary. 

    Dave grew up in rural Northern California in a dairy farming community and left home at 19 to join the Air Force and ascended through the enlisted ranks to culminate as the senior enlisted leader for all nuclear missile forces in the United States. Dave currently lives in Montana and continues to be a mentor and speaks to young leaders to aid in their development and future successes.

    Today I am going to talk to Dave about faltering and failing and how we get back on our feet.  In his book titled, “Giving Back” he says, “Your knowledge is power…after you share it”. So today we are going to ask Dave to share his story.

  • Ep. 27 - Scott Francis - How to be a Magnanimous Leader

    Scott is a leadership development specialist with 18 years of experience. He helps executives to increase productivity, manage effectively, and shape corporate culture. 

    Scott holds his Ph.D. in Leadership Studies and Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership & Management. His Doctoral dissertation was on leadership and the psychology of executive coaching.

    On the side, Scott volunteers as a firefighter in his community. He also works with minor sports teams with their mental training. Most importantly, Scott loves spending quality time with his lovely wife and two teenagers.

    Today we are going to touch on a book that Scott has written, and currently sitting on the shelf waiting to be published called Magnanimous Leadership.

    Fausto Estrada is a professional engineer from Honduras who has resided in Canada since 2013 and currently owns a construction management firm called EOS Consulting Incorporated.

    Registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, Fausto has extensive leadership and project management experience in construction for modular, residential, commercial, and light-industrial projects.

    His passion is leading others to find their purpose in life through faith and a strong sense of community, understanding that the most important asset we have in life is humanity. In his free time, he likes reading, hiking, and watching movies with his wife and 2 boys.

    Glenda is a business consultant and coach, having worked in various advisory and leadership roles across a number of industries, including financial services, media, and the public sector.  Born in South Africa and moving to Australia after completing her university degree, she is currently living in Florence, Italy with her husband of 30+ years.

  • Ep. 24 - Greg Ottenbreit - Living Your Faith Out Loud as a Public Leader

    Greg is a Member of the Legislative Assembly for Yorkton and was first elected in 2007 representing the Saskatchewan Party. He has served as Minister of Highways and Infrastructure, Minister Responsible for Rural and Remote Health and Minister responsible for the Water Security Agency and for Saskatchewan-Ukraine relations. He has currently been appointed Government Whip in 2020.

    Greg and his wife Leone have been married 36 1/2 years. They have two married daughters, and five grandchildren. In 1998, Greg and Leone started "Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer," to raise money for cancer research. The charity is named in honor of their son, Brayden, who lost his battle with cancer in 2000 at age 5. Approximately $1 million has been raised for cancer research and local cancer initiatives. When Brayden got ill, through his treatment and loss, Greg’s wife came up with the quote, “bitter or better…you can choose the vowel”… and although sometimes it’s easier to be bitter, quite often they will choose better.

    The conversation today is about being a public figure and living your faith out loud. It has not been easy for Greg and he is here today to share a bit of his story.

    Michael is a professor of Leadership and Strategy at Messiah University and the former Dean of the Regent University School of Business. Dr. Zigarelli’s research in the fields of management, leadership, practical theology, law and ethics has appeared in a number of scholarly journals and magazines, and he is the author of twelve books, including the book we are discussing today about what it looks like when a follower of Jesus runs a business. The book is called Christian-Owned Companies, and Michael’s work has been translated into several languages.

    Professor Zigarelli is also the creator of the Christianity 9 to 5 resource center and YouTube channel, where more than 2 million viewers across 130 countries have accessed his instructional videos.

    One of his great passions is coaching high school and college soccer. His greater passion is his family. Michael and his wife Tara have been blessed with four children and decades of marriage.
