FIND YOUR VOICE and YOUR POWER
On Episode #4 of “LEADERS ON THE EDGE” Podcast, host Deborah Dubree is joined by her guest Jane M Powers - who is known for her practical, down-to-earth style. Jane's fusion of savvy conversational techniques and real-life stories allows her to connect with her audience on an intensely intimate level. For over 25 years Jane has been stepping into the spotlight with a signature talk moving people to action to make more money, have more fun, and most of all - make a difference.
Listen as Jane shares stories of her childhood, talks about being raised in a family that was financially well-off, yet emotionally broke. And if that isn't enough, she experienced more than most do in a lifetime. From her own "interesting" family trauma of being sexually abused, having a mother who suffered from alcoholism, plus drug addiction. Her father is unaware of the circumstances. Plus, her mother died when Jane was young.
Moving into adulthood Jane worked in the prisons, drug & alcohol treatment centers, to counsel survivors of sexual abuse. It was a way to help heal herself while helping others. Taking all of her experiences and teachings, in Jane’s newest book, Revealing the Missing Peace, she shares the way to shortcut the healing process for those who have experienced any level of trauma in their life.
Listen in as Jane reveals how the inner anger and frustration she felt growing up, would get triggered and flare up when she was playing hockey. It was a “kill or be killed” feeling that caused Jane to lash out at other players. Her brain tells her to, “do whatever it takes” to survive. Then, she would sit in her car in tears, regretting that she couldn’t control her anger.
Discover how Jane learned to work through her dysfunctional past, to become the powerhouse she is today. She knows how to turn a mess into a message and a message into money!
“You cannot wait to be healed to take charge of your life.” Jane M Powers
During her process of healing, Jane discovered, “When you find your voice and you find your power! Today, Jane’s straightforward, big-hearted style guides thousands to prosper with her “Speak and Sell Formula". With decades of successful speaking and coaching, and perhaps most important of all – real-life experience founding and running multi-million dollar businesses, Jane appreciates that success is truly about the power of your message.

In this Episode #2 of the “LEADERS ON THE EDGE” Podcast with host Deborah Dubree, she speaks with Kimber Leigh, who is the CEO and Founder of Changing Habits Institute. Kimber is also a 2-time bestselling author, as well as an actress, CEO Coach, professional speaker, and Producer/Director with an amazing client list.
With all that Kimber has accomplished, it can be difficult to reconcile with her very personal story of childhood sexual and physical abuse. As she describes, she seemed to bounce from dysfunction to dysfunction.
The discussion that follows, between Deborah and Kimber, is one of vulnerability, choice, and strength. They share how their very different tales of trauma and drama have become a gift that was a driving factor in who they are today and the success each has achieved.
Listen to find out why Kimber titled her book, Greta Gar-Bitch.
Discover the profound moment that changed the trajectory of a little girl’s life, as she cried out to God, “Take me or take my mother, but one of us has got to go!” You see, Kimber was beaten nightly by a horrific mother who had a disease-causing her to be a raging alcoholic.
Revealing the aftermath from her “Lightning Bolt” moment, Deborah shares how the accidental death of her 16-year-old brother when she was 12 years old, unknowingly affected her adult decisions. These included unconscious stories of stay in control, don’t have too much fun and don’t feel too much. Once uncovered, she regained her clarity and confidence to make powerful and bold choices.
Both Kimber and Deborah agree that their professional clients, no matter what level of success they’ve achieved, are insecure. It’s just a matter of, to what degree? It’s part of being human.
Kimber helps you increase pride, professionalism, profits by moving top salespeople to the next level by getting self and staff back to new enthusiasm.

In this Premiere episode of the “LEADERS ON THE EDGE” Podcast with host Deborah Dubree, she speaks with former NFL and MLB Pro Athlete, Author, Motivational Speaker, and Radio Show host Edward “EZ” Smith. Ed and Deborah discuss his extraordinary life through the challenges of high-level performance and learning how to tune out what other people think, focusing on his goals, working hard, and taking your best shot at everything you choose to accomplish. He also discusses his experience with the legendary Michael Jordan, along with the inspiration and comradery they shared during their time playing professional baseball on opposing teams.
Two days after graduating from High School, Ed was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 7th round and began the quest to accomplish his childhood dream of playing Major League Baseball. After traveling the winding road of minor league baseball for nine years. Ed came to a crossroads in his life – the love he had for baseball had been replaced by the cruel reality of the business.
Overcoming incredible odds, Ed pursued Pro football as a second career. His transformation from a 9-year baseball veteran to a tight end in the NFL was accomplished by a level of perseverance and dedication rarely seen. One of the rewards for all the hard work, an appearance in Super Bowl XXXIII as a member of the 1998 NFC Champions - The Atlanta Falcons.
Today Ed lives in Peoria, Arizona. His autobiography, EZ Does It: The Journey of a Lifetime was published in 2005. He travels the country as a Motivational Speaker, hosts his Sports Talk Radio show (EZ Sports Talk on NBC Sports Radio KDUS 1060AM – Phoenix), along co-hosts Javon Adams.
