My guest today is Thomas Joseph.Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in finance, with a concentration in real estate, from DePaul University and both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Business Analytics from Kelley School of Business, at Indiana University.Thomas developed a broad leadership, organization and planning skill set while serving as an officer in the United States Army. After exiting the military, he joined Booz Allen Hamilton as a Management and Data Analytics Consultant. In this capacity he led and supported multi-billion-dollar initiatives in areas of data analytics and business intelligence, workforce performance, implementation planning and strategy, IT strategy, strategic advisory to executive stakeholders and political appointees and evaluating IT vendors and their platforms. After leaving the consulting field, Thomas entered the real estate industry and now has business interests in ABA House Buyers, River Plant Capital, Big Dream Homes, LLC and Hiyil, LLC.There are so many great takeaways from our conversation today. We discuss what it means to be a leader – digging into effectively leading a team and managing operations, communication style differences that we have noticed between the military and civilian world, reflections on our time overseas.
