“You already have on the shoes – you just have to start walking.”
Are you holding back with leading your family or others due to fear? We are instructed to “fear not, for God is with us.” I encourage you to have enough faith to take that first step… you aren’t alone in this journey.
“Activity breeds productivity”
How active are you in life? Do you find yourself waiting for the next step or actively pursuing it? As a leader, it’s important that we remain in an active and growing state. Movement doesn’t have to be fast, it just needs to be constant.
“Don’t just talk about your company values, put them into action. Don’t just memorize them, live them.”
What are the values of your organization? Are you putting them into action and living them out daily? If not, why? These should be more than just words to you… and to those you lead. I encourage you to pick one value this week and really focus on making it a priority in your daily life.
“Our greatest glory isn’t in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” – Confucius
Don’t let discouragement and self-pity consume you after a fall. When, not if, but when you make a bad decision or sin, don’t allow it to consume you. Pick yourself up and keep moving toward your goal.
“Expectation is the root of all heartache.” – William Shakespeare
How do you react when the expectations you set in your mind aren’t met? Are you balanced enough to roll on or do you get stuck when this happens? If we don’t allow ourselves some grace, frustration will eat us up when we fall short of expectations. I encourage you to watch how you react this weekend when things don’t quite go the way you planned.
