This story is about more than just the toy drive of this
Swanton congenital heart defect patient - it’s also about community connections
- and family finding comfort in knowing they’re not alone. The Laney family is
giving thanks to love and time together.

According to Chief Allison Armstrong, McCoy has been through
a lot this past year. She has batted through breast cancer, lost her mother,
and her husband just got a kidney transplant - yet - Chief Armstrong says - she
stays very positive and does things in the community.

Pownell shares a story about one of the young men involved
in the Program Inc. mentoring program and his growth while being with us.
Pownell will be prepared to share why he chose to volunteer
for The Program as his personal story is deeply connected to the impact he is
having with the young men in our community.
