He is a transformational leader with over two decades of experience leading, coaching, and developing equity-centered, mission-driven professionals across education, business, and nonprofit sectors.
One of the highlights of Mirko’s leadership journey was as a founding Head of School in Cambridge, MA, where he built a successful public middle school by focusing on authentic relationship-building, trust, and transformational culture. Under his leadership multiple staff & faculty members were mentored into administrative leadership roles.
A first-generation Haitian American and former at-risk youth, Mirko brings a deeply personal and powerful lens to his work. He understands what it means to reclaim your narrative, lead with love, and use your story to inspire action. He co-authored the bestsellers Equity by Design and Restorative Practices That Heal School Communities, and has trained thousands of leaders nationwide.
