It ended 4-1 to Steven Schumacher’s side, with discussions on VAR, Stockport’s defensive woes, and Bolton’s attacking triumph all had.

Stevenage secured the final play-off spot, with a dramatic late equaliser. Plymouth Argyle beat Northampton Town and Bolton Wanderers lost to Luton Town, but it wasn’t enough for either of them to make it into the top six.

At the other end of the table, Exeter City were relegated after final day defeat to Bradford City. That saved Leyton Orient, as they drew with Burton Albion.
