In today’s lesson we go through the explanation of Surah Al-Fatihah from Shaykh Bin Baaz’s Important Lessons.

This lesson goes through the importance of seeking refuge with Allaah from the accursed shaytaan, the benefit of beginning with the name of Allaah in all affairs, and an explanation of Ibnul Qayyim's statement where he mentioned that the knowledge of all the previous divine, revealed books all go back to the Qur’an, and how all of the Qur’an goes back to Surat Al Fatihah and all of Surah Al Fatihah goes back to the ayah:

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ

You (Alone) we worship, and you (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).

Sahih al-Bukhari – The Book of Tawheed – Lesson 37 (09/12/17)

The starting of a new chapter, today we covered:

• The names and attributes of Allah

o Al-Khaaliq

o Al- Baarid

• Picture making

o If it is of Bodily entirety then it is haram

o Making objects of the appearance of living souls i.e. Wax works etc

o The making of mannequin’s

o The difference of opinion regarding drawings

o The rulings from the majority of the scholars

o Ali Ibn Abi Taalib “Do not leave any picture that you wipe it out.”

o The image makers will be punished

• Next lesson Ustaadh will speak about the issue concerning photographs
