Reciting Surah Baqarah Last 2 Ayats at night is enough for everyone. There is another chapter of the Quran. They all have their own interests. It describes several things, such as the order of prayer and fasting, but some suras are exceptional because of their status. The last verses of Surah Al-Baqrah have such status. Due to his high status, his recitation brings many blessings and rewards. We must do our best to safeguard these rewards.

Benefits of Surah Baqarah Last 2 Ayats:

These two verses guard the person at night.
According to a Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, ‘One who recites the last 2 Ayat of Surah Al-Baqrah, these two verses will become sufficient for him.’

When we sleep at night, we are exposing to all the dangers of evils and other dangerous things. There is only one who protects us from all evils, and all damages is Allah. Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW himself has clarified that we should get protection from Allah by reciting these two verses.

In another Hadith of our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW,’ I was bestowed with the two verses from the treasure, the treasure that is under the throne that was not given to other Prophets.’

Our Prophet Muhammad SAW has clarified the benefits of these two verses. Prophet Muhammad SAW said in his Hadith that these two verses of the Quran were not revealed by the conventional way. These two verses of the Surah Al-Baqrah was given to me from the treasure.

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

285. Aamanar-Rasoolu bimaaa unzila ilaihi mir-Rabbihee walmu’minoon; kullun aamana billaahi wa Malaaa’ikathihee wa Kutubhihee wa Rusulihee laa nufarriqu baina ahadim-mir-Rusulih wa qaaloo sami’naa wa ata’naa ghufraanaka Rabbanaa wa ilaikal-maseer

286. Laa yukalliful-laahu nafsan illaa wus’ahaa; lahaa maa kasabat wa ‘alaihaa maktasabat; Rabbanaa laa tu’aakhiznaaa in naseenaaa aw akhtaanaa; Rabbanaa wa laa tahmil-‘alainaaa isran kamaa hamaltahoo ‘alal-lazeena min qablinaa; Rabbanaa wa laa tuhammilnaa maa laa taaqata lanaa bih; wa’fu ‘annaa waghfir lanaa warhamnaa; Anta mawlaanaa fansurnaa ‘alal qawmil kaafireen (section 40)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

285. The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. “We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His messengers.” And they say: “We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys.”

286. On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) “Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith.”

رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنَا أُمَّةً مُّسْلِمَةً لَّكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ

Rabbana wajAAalna muslimayni laka wamin thurriyyatina ommatam muslimatallak waarina manasikana watubAAalayna innaka anta attawwabu arraheem.

Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our (generation) descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to you. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, you are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

Surah Rahman is the 55th surah of the Holy Quran that comprises 78 verses. It was revealed in Madinah.

The main theme and explanation of this surah are divided into two parts. The first part explains the greatness of Allah and the ultimate blessings that are showered by Him on His people. While the second part addresses the final judgment and punishment for those who did not follow Allah’s commands.

Besides this, Surah Rahman is one of the greatest surahs of the Holy Quran and it brings one closer to Allah. It highlights the main motto of a human being in this world and the countless blessings that are awarded to human beings.

Hazrat Muhammad explains the importance of Surah Rahman in a hadith which states that:

“Everything has an ornament, and the ornament of the Quran is Surah Al-Rahman.” (Baihaqi)
