Město Telč se nachází v jižní části regionu Morava v České republice.

Město pochází ze 13. století, kdy bylo královskou vodní pevností, která se nacházela na hlavních křižovatkách obchodních tras mezi Rakouskem, Čechy a Moravou.

Pro návštěvníky Telče je zde několik zajímavých míst.

Nachází se zde dech beroucí zámek ze 17. století, který pochází z období renesance.

Dále je zde zámecký park v anglickém stylu a úžasný gotický hrad ze 14. století.

Náměstí v Telči je unikátní městský komplex tržiště spojeného s domy z dob renesance a baroka.

Domy na náměstí jsou velmi zachovalé a obsahují podloubí a velmi vysoké štítové zdi.

V roce 1992 přidalo UNESCO náměstí v Telči na seznam Světového dědictví.

Gotický hrad v Telči byl postaven po roce 1350.

Okolo konce 15. století padlo rozhodnutí pro opevnění hradu a vybudování nové věže s bránou.

V polovině 16. století se šlechtici Zachariáši z Hradce, který bydlel v té době na hradě, přestalo líbit, jak hrad vypadal, a dal ho renovovat, aby vypadal více jako renesanční architektura tehdejší doby.

Přízemí hradu dostalo novou klenbu a průčelí bylo vyzdobeno sgrafitem.

V roce 1552 byly do obývaných částí hradu přidány štukové ornamenty.

Po renovaci hradu se do Telče nastěhovali jezuité a v letech 1666 až 1667 vybudovali kostel Jména Ježíš.

The town of Telc is located in the southern part of the Moravia region in the Czech Republic.

The town dates back to the 13th century when it was a royal water fort located at a major crossroads of merchant trade routes running between Austria, Bohemia, and Moravia.

There are a few areas of interest for those who wish to visit Telc.

There is a breathtaking 17th century chateau that dates back to the Renaissance. There is an English-style park alongside the chateau and a gorgeous Gothic castle which dates back to the 1300s.

Telc's town square is a unique urban complex of plazas lined with homes which date from Baroque and Renaissance times.

The homes in the town square have been very well preserved and feature arcades and very tall gables.

UNESCO added Telc's town square to its list of World Heritage Sites in 1992.

The Gothic castle located in Telc was built after 1350.

Toward the end of the 1400s, the decision was made to fortify the castle and build a new gate-tower.

By the middle of the 1500s, nobleman Zacharias of Hradec, who at that time lived in the castle, became unhappy with the way it looked and had it renovated to look more like the Renaissance architecture of his day.

The castle's ground floor received a new vault, and the workers decorated its façade with sgraffito.

Stucco ornaments were added to the living areas of the castle in 1552.

After the castle's renovation, the Jesuits moved into Telc and built the Name of Jesus church between 1666 and 1667.
