Today, Vegas announced that we will be essentially shut down for 30 days. Eva's work has been shutdown along with other companies. We are grateful that she is still on the payroll.

I hadn't planned on talking about this today, especially since that is all we are hearing about.

But since I use this vehicle as an online journal so my kids can look back on in the future.I want them to know what we went through during this time.

I feel that we will all make it through just fine if we decide to work together and leave judgment out of it and live by a simple principle...

During this crazy time with the Coronavirus, we can really see what people care about.

Today, I saw a post on Facebook about someone being inconvenienced because they were unable to go to a hockey game.

A few hours later I saw Mark Cuban share his concern for the frontline employees of his NBA team.

As a leader, he decided he needed to create something for them to be able to sustain their life and livelihood.

This is the difference between those who lead and those who follow, those who take and those who contribute.

This is an interesting thought I had while listening to Ryan Holiday's interview with Steven Pressfied, on The Daily Stoic podcast.

He was asked, "How can someone plan for adversity without being nervous or anxious".

His response really made me think about how affirmations and preparedness can be contradictory.

On one hand, you want to think nothing but positive thoughts.

On the other hand, you are setting up for failure without having a plan in place when adversity hits.

A few months ago I shared a story about thanking the cashier, which is also the manager of my neighborhood mini-mart.

I gave her a gift card to a local restaurant as a thank you for being such a kind person and wanted her to know that she is impacting lives.

Today, she repaid me the favor when I forgot something in there a couple of weeks ago, by doing something she didn't have to.

So did a band, my favorite band actually.

I shared the story about my son and the impact that Anti-Flag's song, "Unbreakable" had on my son.

I sent this story to their record label and they passed it along to the band.

The band then sent my son something in return.

At the end of last week, I just wasn't feeling right.

I was dizzy, I had trouble concentrating and finding the words I was trying to say.

While I kept thinking, "what could this be and how can I fix it?" I overlooked the first step.

Instead of realizing it was just sinus pressure and a simple over the counter medication would likely do the trick, I focused on what else it could be or could it be fixed with something else.

I was reminded in the business world about getting back to basics as well.

I am guilty of always wanting to make things better, many times to my detriment.

I was speaking with owner and creator of a real estate platform that I've been networking on and was reminded that this business... and every business is about relationships.

There is no substitute for relationships.

Keep building and nurturing these relationships and you will be just fine.

Today as I started to build an ad and a site for it, I did it with others in mind.

The ones that I can teach how to do it for little to no cost.

Sure there are better things out there, but like I always say...

Done is better than Perfect.

So when people are hesitant to do something because of the amount of work or the cost associated with it.

I try my best to find an alternative.

That is why I keep learning for 2.

Is mon son Dyslexic?

Am I?

This was suggested yesterday and I have been thinking about it since yesterday.

Now, we don't have any answers on that, but I have been thinking a lot about it the last couple of days.

Often, we want this done for us.

We want automation, one click and it's done.

I'm all for automation.

But when that's unavailable, that is when you can really take advantage.

Most people don't want to do the hard things, especially if they are tedious and you're not getting compensated for them right now.

When you find those things... RUN toward them.

Those are the things that no one else wants to do.

That is where you will find your success and your differentiation.

It's here where you can play a completely different game.

One that no one else can even compete in.

This is where you will win!
